"Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter." -Thomas Jefferson,
Jefferson didn't have a paper like the Palm Springs Desert Sun! (Ca.)They print from two to five "Bush-Bashing" letters daily and rarely a rebuttal. You know they must get tons of rebuttals in this, a conservative community.
Anti-gun letters are a shoo-in, try sending them a pro-second amendment letter and see whether it gets published. Pro homo letters are daily fare, almost never a disparaging word. All editorials are from a liberal point of view with an occasional rebuttal.

First off Carlo, I didn't watch these clowns & must commend you for your intestinal fortitude &
excllent report.
That said, the other day while listening to Rush?
He related an article written by someone in the (sittin' down? :o) ) *Associated Press* who vigorously questioned [some of the] comments made by (I think) Howard Dean which had everything to do with race and/or racial issue(s).
Rush complimented this writer for their having even *questioned* this guy since in the past that's not been the *mo* of an AP writer when its come to 'Rat politicians.
Rush further speculated Dean may be "falling out of favor" with the Lamestream press et al; which, may or may not be true.
Personally I found Rush's suggestion a bit much to believe based on one article's content since after all, we *are* talking about The Associated Press.
In any event, the thing I found most striking of all about the whole matter I've cited was that it sure sounded like Dean was actually trying to *emmulate* the kind of crap Clintigula used to routinely pull with such ease.
Could it be these 'Rat *candidates* {spit} are attempting to duplicate, or, at least personify on that which they *percieve* Clinoccio successfully pulled time & again over Its 8 year reign of terror?
Might it be that by trying to "copy" X42 -- in an effort to seperate themselves from the others -- they're forced to move further & further to the left which panders -- almost *solely* -- to the whacky extreme left.
The net effect looks like they *all* might just be shooting themselves in the foot with the more moderate 'Rats voters, too.
I mean after all Carlo my friend, we can agree on one thing about the entire 'Rat party, if nothing else.
There's not an original thought or idea amoung their collective bones or in therir pinsized heads.
These 'Rat candidates really can't do anything *but* copy what they *think* worked for the monster, as they've really nothing else to offer.
...but insoding they're invariably screwing it up, royally.

Except for the jarring use of the non-word "populous", that was a nice summary.

Excellent essay, my friend...kudos....BTW...just think of all the wonderful sound bites for the GOP ads that are being generated....as long as the Dems allow the fringe candidates equal time and relevancy..they'll succeed in dragging the entire campaign way farther to the left.....Hmmm?..is McAuliffe doing this on purpose?

The debate was sponsored by the black caucus.
Black people make up 15% of the population and will be 20% of the voting, given the amount of fraud perpetrated in inner cities.
Keep that debate in mind when you think you ought to 'punish' President Bush for not doing things YOUR way.

Great job on the post, carlo3b!
This was not a "debate". It was an anti-Bush infomercial, complete with every lie and slander imaginable.
The only way to stop this sort of slander is bring back the practice of dueling. There is no question which side would either shut up or be the permanent loser!

I think Rush Limbaugh actually nailed it. The Democratic Party these days is little more than a loose confederation of angry, nasty, hate-filled, anti-American, just plain loony groups. These candidates must sell their souls to appeal to such hatemongers..............hence, what you saw.
It's an incredibly sad statement about the status of the Democratic Party. They are SOOOOO far out in left field......so incredibly disconnected from "mainstream America".........that one can only pray that they become increasingly marginalized as more Americans truly begin to understand what these 'people' stand for.
To: carlo3b
Thank you again Carlo - you have wonderfully expressed what I could not articulate about my disgust with the participants in the debate.
To: carlo3b
Great post! BTW, I would rather chew a jumbo-sized ball of tinfoil than watch these slack-jawed yokels "debate" each other. If one of them somehow gets elected the suicide rate will go through the roof everytime the state of the union address pre-empts regular programming.

And I, for the first time in my life, believe that I understand the pre War mentality. Stop it early, or suffer the regret, forever. I think I can see road signs, red flags, omens of history, beckoning us to beware of the danger ahead. THANK YOU CARLO
Your words spoke of the many things I feel.
