-a state, (Illinois), provides for the sale and distribution of drug paraphenalia... syringes...

What does this have to do wih Tommy Chong?

Uh jmc, maybe that Illinois is being run by the demos, with anti-gun Blagovich(sp?) the Governor directly from the Hillary/Soros vein of the demo party.

Uh jmc

It's Jeff.

Maryland's being run by a Republican who just signed a medical marijuana bill. I still dojn't see what this has to do with the original article.

Getting back to the original article, do you agree with sending Chong off to jail on our dime?

Uh Jeff, Erlich signed a medical marijuana bill, where it is still illegal to have pot as a recreational drug, and where the person who possesses marijuana has to prove that he/she has a prescription.

Getting back to the original article, do you agree with sending Chong off to jail on our dime?

I guess you would rather have Tommy Chong besmirching our troops and giving aid to the enemy on the demo/lefty Hollywood dime.

Would you oppose the Feds interfering with that law?

When has he besmirched our troops? And you didn't answer the original question. Do you think he should be in jail?

If it is abused, yes.

When has he besmirched our troops? And you didn't answer the original question. Do you think he should be in jail?

Where has Tommy Chong come out in support of the troops?

JMO, Tommy Chong is a lefty liberal who is also a hero of the Libertarians.

Hey, Tommy Chong knew the law, no one put a gun up to his head with him putting his name on a website and a line of bongs.

Oh that's right, according to Chong and you Jeff, those bongs were only for "tobacco" use.

Sheesh talk about Clintonian parsing.

Now why do you think Jeff thinks they're for tobacco use? C'mon, I'm a liberdopian, but I'm not stupid. Anyhow, for the third time, do you think it is a smart use of resources to lock him up for 9 months?

They were going to, with Chong's daughters heading it up. Guess that idea is 'Up In Smoke'.

Sorry, it had to be done.

And I ask you again if Tommy Chong knew what he was doing.

Sort of a no win situation for you.

If you say Chong did not know what he was doing(pushing a line of drug paraphernalia on the internet) then there goes your arguement that pot users are thoughtful law abiding people.

If you say that Tommy Chong did know what he was doing (pushing a line of drug paraphernalia on the internet), then you are admitting that he did it for political purposes and shouldn't suffer the consequences of flouting the law in such a public way.(i.e to you Jeff, Tommy Chong is above the law, because Tommy Chong is an icon to you).

Thank you, Dane, for once again demonstrating exactly why you are the dimmest bulb at this website.

When you show me a link or press clipping when Tommy Chong is not following the Dixie Chicks lead, give me a ping when the dimbulb in your heads gets the idea.

JMO, but Chong's being silent on this issue is a non-answer, especially for Tommy Chong who made his fortune and being beholdin to the Hollywood left.

Oh BTW, Pahuani, did anybody hold a gun up to Tommy Chong's head demanding he put his name on a line of bongs indefiance of law?

Bzzzzzt! Wrong answer. You indicated that he is, somehow, magically, 'besmirching' our troops.

When called on that steaming pantsload, you were unable to support it, lamely snivelling, "Oh, well, when has he ever supported them?" It's up to you to not only support your presumption, but to show how it logically ties in with the matter at hand.

You've done neither. This is typical.

JMO, but Chong's being silent on this issue is a non-answer, especially for Tommy Chong who made his fortune and being beholdin to the Hollywood left.

What utter crap. Neither he, nor anyone else, is somehow required to come out publically with a statement of support to indicate some position that you think he ought to subscribe to.

Oh BTW, Pahuani, did anybody hold a gun up to Tommy Chong's head demanding he put his name on a line of bongs indefiance of law?

Irrelevant to your orignal presumptuous bit of fluff that you still can't back up.

Your last sentence states it all.

IOW, you are saying that how dare anyone say a bad word of Tommy Chong clearly flouting the law by pushing his line of drug paraphenalia.

Also how dare anyone question Tommy Chong making his living being beholden to the leftist Hollywood elite.

I see you prefer prevarication until the bitter, pig-eyed end.

You are unable to support your presumption that Chong somehow, mysteriously, 'besmirches' our troops.

Game, set, match.

Yeah whatever you want to think.

JMO, but I don't think you will see Tommy Chong flying the flag soberly.

Again JMO, but the only way that Tommy Chong would be "flying" the flag, is if he had smoked it first.

You wanted proof, here it is.

http://www.philly.com/mld/philly/5218882.htm

Posted on Thu, Feb. 20, 2003 Acting out Hollywood antiwar sentiment is loud and clear. And so is the opposition. By Beth Gillin Inquirer Staff Writer It's the largest outpouring of star-powered anti-war sentiment since the Vietnam War. Barbra Streisand, Martin Sheen, Jessica Lange, Spike Lee, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Martin Scorsese, Sean Penn, Robert Redford, Dustin Hoffman, Ossie Davis, Robert Altman. Some of the country's biggest stars are loudly against invading Iraq. Edward Norton, Tyne Daly, Danny Glover, Rob Reiner, Penelope Cruz, Alec Baldwin, Mike Farrell, Janeane Garofalo, Woody Harrelson and Rosario Dawson. The list goes on. They're marching and speechifying, signing petitions and making commercials to rally opposition against Gulf War Two: Return to Iraq. Not everyone is impressed. "If Washington is a Hollywood for ugly people, Hollywood is a Washington for the simpleminded," cracked maverick U.S. Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.). Nevertheless, people are listening. "Celebrities have credibility with the general public," said Dennis Broe, a professor of film, media and television history at Long Island University. "As they raise the profile of the opposition, it hurts the president." "They definitely influence opinion," agreed Paul Levinson, chairman of communications and media studies at Fordham University. "There's even a term for it in propaganda: false association, or appeal to false authority." What this means, he said, is that a person admired as an authority on moviemaking or acting is easily accepted as an authority on politics as well. The current rage for Five-Minute Ordinary People Celebrities hasn't dimmed the power of Hollywood stars by so much as a watt, Levinson said. "Joe Millionaire is still an average Joe. He lacks the clout of a star whose work we've admired over and over on the screen." But can they stop the war? So far, the Hollywood Left has managed to seriously annoy some in the American Middle. By yesterday afternoon, 30,531 people had logged on to www.ipetitions.com to sign an online petition called "Citizens Against Celebrity 'Pundits.' " The petition protests movie- star marchers "using their celebrity to interfere with the defense of our country." Accompanying many signatures are blistering comments - "low-intelligence egomaniacs," "stay in your fantasy world and out of foreign affairs" - as well as boycott threats. It may seem that the antiwar stars speak for all of Hollywood. They don't. Many actors are Republican (Heather Locklear, Kelsey Grammer, Babylon Five's Tracy Scoggins, Senator-turned-Law-&-Order-star Fred Thompson.) Others are libertarian (Drew Carey, Lisa Kennedy, Kurt Russell, Penn and Teller, Tommy Chong, Russell Means).

Set and Matchpoint go to Dane !!

You seem to have the English comprehension skills of a goat. Nothing in that link you posted indicates that Chong 'besmirched' the troops.

Really, Daney, this isn't rocket science. Do let's try and keep up, hmmmm?
