As a former Ohio resident and Ohio State University alumnus, I am disappointed and embarrassed that Ohio and OSU would sanction the Palestine Solidarity Conference to be held in its jurisdiction.

How much evidence is required for the world to understand that Palestinians are butchers and will do anything to disrupt the peace process?

As Golda Meir, former Israeli Prime Minister, so eloquently stated, "There will be peace in the Middle East when the Palestinians learn to love their children more than they hate us.''

Ohio should redirect this conference. It should not provide an opportunity for proven terrorists to congregate and scheme on Buckeye soil.

I respond to reports that the National Student Conference of the Palestine Solidarity Movement will hold its November conference at Ohio State University. The group's mission statement "rejects any form of hatred or discrimination against any group.'' But it adds, in part, "It is not our place to dictate the strategies or tactics adopted by the Palestinian people in their struggle for liberation.''

The group preaches to us not to hate each other, but the preaching stops at the border. Is there a better way to define hypocrisy than this agenda? The conference should not be allowed.............
