McClintock was at 11% in the previous SurveyUSA poll two weeks ago.

It looks like he scored at least a triple in the debate last week and moved up 5%, taking some of Arnie's support, who was at 45% in the previous poll.

The new field poll has Bustamante ahead of Schwarzenegger by 5 points

That's not a good sign

Yeah, but McClintock is moving upwards and Arnie moved downwards from the previous poll. "Fat Clemenza" stayed at 29%.

Exactly. The Kool Aid Gang who are obsessed with turning McClintock into Perot II are blind to reason and the obvious facts here. They think they are in a primary or something instead of a general election with 4 weeks to go. And in a general election, there is no room for TWO candidates from the same party, let alone one who can barely poll half of the front runner.

So if we are to believe this poll, Arnold now leads Tom by 23 points not 12. Tom has a lot of surging to do if he is going to win this one. Doubtful he is going to pick up from Ueberroth so where does he get his surge? LOL. Give it up Tom.

Why don't you take care of your Rat governor before giving Californians lectures on who to vote for?

This is so strange. I don't know which polls to believe. Guess we'll find out on election day.

both Field and SurveyUSA are showing the same trends... slight slippage for the "yes on recall" vote, and a small post-debate surge for McClintock.

Couldn't resist doing a bit of baiting to the McClintock crowd.

They may both be right. Field has 19% undecided, SurveyUSA pushes people into making a choice.

I happen to think this poll is more reliable than the Field Poll, which is weighted in favor of Democrats.

If you take the poll at face value, Arnold doesn't need McClintock voters to win handily. Apparently there is room for both candidates in the election.

That makes a lot of sense.. After all, 39% is a much better number than 60% (Ueberroth + McClintock's voters.) </sarcasim>
