Wouldn't it be nice to see a similar story next year from Chesterfield Co. announcing a significant reduction in property taxes?

If you really want to get yourself upset, fill out a spreadsheet for the next 30 years. Increase the property tax rate a "modest" 2% a year, your house value a "modest" 5% a year, and see how soon your property tax becomes bigger than your mortgage.

Luis,

I don't live in Alabama, I don't get a vote. And if I did, I would vote for the guy who most accorded with my beliefs who demonstrated the ability to be a good executive.

Having said that, my comment to Sinkspur was meant as a light hearted tweak at the Moore as evil demagogue with an agenda threads.

No moore, no less.

A good place to start would be to abolish the Colleges at Education in the University of Alabama system, thus saving millions. Teachers should not be required to get a rinky dink "education degree" before teaching. A simple masters in any legitimate field, History, Philosophy, etc. should be sufficient.

Jesus ain't gonna like this.

He's suffered through things before...he'll recover from this...

Republicans were not in charge of Congress in 1988.

This is the first time I've heard of this issue and the change in the law. To whom would Virginia give I-81? I doubt that many county governments could afford to repair or rebuild the road. Strange stuff, this.

Put I-81 star solutions in google. Then you will see what the pubs have in store for an interstate near you.

Forgot to add that Halliburton is also part of this attempt to steal the interstate highway system. Anyway it's all there on google.
