Tonight will make up Wesley Clark's mind. He will announce next week that he is running for president. Hillary will perhaps be his VP and she will run the show.

Kerry was inarticulate....perhaps he should have given his speech in French. LOL

Dean said his policy (which is anti-Israeli) is the same as Bill Clinton's.
Loserman called him on that.

Commercial break--I need a shower, how about you?
Hate to say it, but our own Sen Lieberman is the most electable (not necessarily nominatable) guy out there.

The essence of politics historically has been trade offs in making decisions about what a president really wants to do. FDR wanted things like Social Security WPA, the Wagner Act labor law, and increased federal government control of the economy. To get those things he had to sacrefice his racial goals. FDR turned his back on blacks to keep the solid south. From 1860 until the 1960's blacks when they could vote, voted only for Republicans. They voted for the party of Lincoln.
LBJ decided in 1964 to go after the black vote. He knew it would cost the South, but knew it would gain most of the upper east and much of the west coast. Nixon in 1968 with his southern strategy decided the LBJ started realignment was a better deal for Republicans than Democrats. So Nixon completed the trade of Republican blacks for white southerners.
Today the two parties are no longer a mixture of left and right. The Democrats are on the left and the Republicans are on the right. This has greatly increased the poltical warfare. An FDR could not attack the positions of Northern Republican Conservatives with out attacking views held by his southern Democratic conservatives. A Republican could not use invective and strong tactics to attack liberal Democrats with out losing the liberal Republicans in New England. Democrats often looked to Repubicans for help. The civil rights act is an example. And Republicans often looked to some Democrats for help. The interstate highway system is an example.
But today it is full scale war. Tactics such as filibustering judicial nominees are now commonplace. The attitude that you are my opponent not my enemy, has been replaced with you are both my opponent and my enemy.
We are soon approaching the point were neither side can achieve enough suppport to govern. The situation will have to be of depression sized tradgedy for one party to achieve the electoral power to make changes.
We are in a new era. The old party structures are gone. I fear it is Left VS Right until death do us part.

Yes -- Hate speach, but tonight we have the first taste of the carnage they will reap on eachother when they realize that Bush Bashing isn't going to be a very good long-term play.

The SOUTH is the last bastion of conservatism. We conservatives may be a footnote in history. Remember OUR children are being taught by libs in grade school and high school and by AMERICA hating socialist/marxist professors in college. The 'ROYALTY' of America (Hollywood Stars) are constantly feeding us crap and leftist ideas on screen and ALL of the media outlets are doing the same. We conservatives have little to HELP our side. All we have is about 65% of the MILITARY. I hope it is enough.

I think it's great. The problem with Democrats is the press protects them too much. When they utter their insanities it hides them.
I say give them tons of exposure, especially when they talk in front of the NAACP and GLAAD and other extreme groups.

"D/C: 9/11" doesn't re-air on Showtime until Thurs. night, 9EST.
Was Kerry saying he didn't know if GWB was SMART ENOUGH to ask the right questions?????
