Probably even less: whereas Kennedys go to church during holidays, I doubt that Eisner ever puts his foot into the sinagogue.
The problem is not the military: the Israeli society has been afflicted by the same self-doubt that the rest of the West experiences. It's the leftists in their midst that are the problem. And, of course, the "world opinion," which sides with the Arabs: Israel is not a large country like ours; it cannot ignore the world to the extent we can.
This is one of the holiest sites in Judaism. Attending it makes Sharon a "fat beast?"
You are thoroughly confused, my friend.
Yes it is, but you forgot to ping me.
There is no cycle of violence in the Middle East.
It is the same cycle as here at home. Criminals continue to rob and murder, and police apprehends them using whatever force that is justifiable under each particular circumstance. Is this a cycle of violence? Of course not: if criminals stop their activities tomorrow, there would be no police action taken.
The same is in the Middle East. There is a murderous aggression against Israel for its annihilation (as declared), counting five wars in fifty years and terrorist campaigns.
Calling it a "cycle" of violence implies that Arabs respond to the actions of Israel. This is not true. Their goal is to wipe our Israel from the face of the Earth. The PLO charter still states that, I believe. The actions of the Arab countries in the last 55 years show that very well. Israel wants to be left alone to grow oranges in the desert. Arabs want to turn orchards into dust, as long as the Jews eat the fruit.
Sorry, but I find it disgusting that a self-proclaimed "conservative" on this board subscribes to the "cycle of violence" mantra of the Left. I am disgusted particularly because it is on the thread dealing with the latest murder. Read Post #211. Cycle of violence, you say?
