Well, I suppose that would depend on how you define ''worked''. The ridiculous pyramid scheme called Social Security has certainly ''worked'', better than its architects could have dreamt -- the welfare statists now control and abuse the largest pile of ''money'' ever agglomerated throughout all history, which I, for one, suppose was their intention from day one.
