What's racist in the second link?

Nothing. I just found his comments even more forehead slappingly stupid. I guess when you get to that level of forehead slapping this it is indeed a matter of some conjecture which comments where dumber, although the second one was printed from an interview, so they can be verified already, so I'm gonna go with #2.

accusations of avoiding issues because you think I'm shooting with blanks.

OK, you where right, I am at this point accussing you of avoiding the question and shooting blanks.

I have had my doubts about whether you really did care about conservatism in any way. You will glady sacrafice not only the social side, but you KNOW he will raise taxes too, and you don't care, all you see is that glowing 'R' and that is all you value.

I just can't get excited about this thead. Round and round we go. I'd vote for Arnold if I were there. Go for the winner. California would no more go for a Conservative than NY would. It's a pipe dream. The rest is just a fantasy. Over and out.:)

BTW, I've read neither the article, nor the responses!

"The guys who own the most real estate in Los Angeles are Europeans. There are people coming over from Yugoslavia with hardly any money...a friend of mine came over from Czechoslovakia in '68 and he now owns four apartment buildings. Americans are still sitting on their asses waiting for it. Europeans are hungry because we don't have that much."

In the 70s, I'm sure a lot of Europeans owned real estate in LA. A lot of international interests own property in LA nowadays. Real estate is how Scwarzenegger made his first fortune.

What's jaw-droppingly stupid about that?

"What I want to do is make Americans aware that they're fu&*ed-up when they equate everything a person does with some sexual trip. . You know, if you hold a pencil in your hand, it's a phallic symbol and you really want to hold a c%^k in your hand. And a football coach doesn't really want to be a coach, he likes to slap football players' asses...he's a latent homosexual. And it goes on and on and on, all the f#@king time."

Mocking the 70's tendency to psychoanalyze every word and gesture. Silly? Of course. It was a silly time.

"America is so money-oriented. (Thank God! It's always helped me!) But it has its disadvantages because the psychiatrists know their business doesn't mean a thing if there are no sick people around, and so they make everybody feel guilty. You know, all New York City is running to a psychiatrist. All America thinks it has sexual hang ups. Everybody's running to shrinks."

Stupid?

"Nixon was always being attacked sexually. It was always said that he was a fag and that he had no sexual relations with his wife for 15 years and that was why he liked power. And Hitler had only one ball, and that was why he wanted to conquer the world."

Again, he is poking fun at the 70s tendency to overanalyze.

mmm, you are in full out rationalize mode. I don't think it is excusable for a foreigner to say "Americans are still sitting on their asses waiting for it." and yet Johny Depp is blasted for much the same thing.

Speaking of current insults, I remember John Rocker blasting New Yorkers (in a worse way) but still generalizing and putting them down, and all hell broke loose.

Lets just get down to brass tax here, rather than pretending to talk about the issues. (R)nold can do no wrong.

No, that is not what I'm saying. My point is that it is remarkably silly and really a stretch to impose the political correctness of today to remarks made in the 70s.

Try harder. You and Drudge aren't doing very well digging up dirt.

I don't think I need to "try" anything, you are a full on true believer in the gospel accord to Arnold. You can say "silly" and plug your ears all you wish about the Time one, but the one about the n word is one I notice conspicuously absent in all your rationalizations.

Oh come now. You've had your intellectual nose so far up Groundswell Tom's figurative a** for so long that you can smell what the man had for dinner 12 hours before it shows up in his septic tank.

Remove the beam from your own eye before presuming to try to tell others how to remove the mote from theirs.

McClintock hasn't put his schedule of events on his website, has no money, and this weekend, appeared before 200 people in Temecula, all before going to a low dollar pizza and salad fundraiser.

It is apparent to me that he doesn't want to run a professional campaign, and is content to merely play spoiler.

The "n" word appears nowhere in the TIME article.

The other is getting no traction except from Drudge.

I did a google news search using "Schwarzenegger" and "racist." Here's a link to the results:

http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&edition=us&q=schwarzenegger+racist

Check it out. Most of the links are to articles that mention Bustamante...which is exactly why the dems will get no traction on this.

Maybe Tommy Boy's vaunted brain can figure out that he might need to put his schedule of appearances on his website, and to make it clear to the San Diego Republican PTBs that he expects tonights complimentary reception to generate dollars and support.

Of course, to expect professionalism and savvy out of a low profile gubernatorial campaign can't be too much to ask, can it?

The Bustamonte/PRI wing of the Dems couldn't get better service out of these guys if they were paying McClintock directly.

Wrong, that is exactly why the GOP will get no traction on Bustamante's screw up. There was a reason why Mulholdund was so excited about (R)nold running, probably knew about all this garbage. Can't wait for that last week of the election, should be more entertaining that "Eraser" was...

Still waiting for all your rationalizations about how what he said was ok. All I got was that no one is talking about it according to your search, course this is the first time that liberal Drudge brought it up, so I wouldn't be too cocky in your assessment of his 6 million hits a day, when he broke the Oui Oui one that circled the globe a few times over. Heck the BBC was blasting (R)nold about it.

But they wouldn't attack (R)nold unfairly, after all a liberal Democrate is sort of guilty of the same thing, although less violently stated, therefore the press will be fair to a Republican.
