That's who that is!! I thought I recognized him. Gosh, I want to watch it so bad.. but I stopped for the Presidents speech. Now I'm trying TO NOT watch it. But I keep peeking in there. I'm so impressed.

I think it repeats later tonight. Of course I will have it on tape too. Plus it shows again on 9-11.

Talk about a good movie!!

No more US dollars down the Iraqi > halliburton toilet !

This has moved well passed Halliburton. You can see and smell the desperation and fear all over this administration. The economy must be significantly weaker than even the pessimists think. 87 billion dollars is just to keep the illusion of recovery alive. The real economic rot is not being addressed just covered-up with massive borrow and spend flim flam.

Why can't we use the income from Iraq oil to pay US back for the 87 Billion?

The Dems and their press puppets were in Total Talking Point Synchronicity (TTPS) this morning.

Carl Levin said on Fox New Sunday, "We should not have this
GO IT ALONE, Lone Ranger attitude."

On ABC's This Week, the narrator introduced a segment with that same phrase--Should America GO IT ALONE in Iraq?

Coincidence?

We must get a supermajority in the US Senate so that we can get some decent judges and some other laws in. (school vouchers is being threatened by filibuster). We must never let a D in the White House ever or a Aztlan champion take over the reCallifornia

As for RINO's like Arlen Specter in the US Congress and some state officials, feel free to Perot/Nader their elections and tell the whole world why!

Just be sure not to harm real conservative R's such as Tom Tancredo.

Quickly scanning through the comments here it looks like I'm in the minority by being disappointed. I wanted to here more of a defense of our progress in Iraq and less of this "new front in the War on Terror" business. It's all true, and it's better there than here. But it isn't much of a selling point.

I got the feeling he was trying to rejustify the war, which is pretty much a settled issue. What he should have done tonight was show some follow through. And he didn't do that.

...We have learned that terrorist attacks are not caused by the use of strength - they are invited by the perception of weakness...

Worth repeating!!

Definitely! I wish we could turn that line into a bumper sticker somehow...

I just think at the time he had his heart in the right place. Now if he used that 'goodness' in the way he should have is an entirely different story. Call me an old fashion optimist. I look for the best in people at times, no matter what the party. I think FDR really did care. However, unlike the PNAC (the think tank from which many in the Bush administration came from), I do not think FDR's ideas were the best in the world.

Same could be said of Truman. Now Johnson and Kennedy were just idiots.
