I paid $20 for the last CD I bought. It was signed by the artist (Chieli Minucci) as I handed the clerk my money, then given to me--this just after seeing him play live.
I once read that INCLUDING LABOR AND RAW MATERIALS it costs around $3.00 to produce a CD.
Obscene.

If your brother is one of those types that put only two good songs on a CD then BOO to him :-)
LOL, I'll be sure to pass that along to him!

I once read that INCLUDING LABOR AND RAW MATERIALS it costs around $3.00 to produce a CD. Old info. It's well under a buck now (not including royalties), especially for the really high-volume titles.

If the CD market has collapsed, it's due to their own greed. That...and a pointy stick prodding them from behind.
(There...is that better, AM?)

Probably, if I remember right CDs only used to cost about $14-$14 a piece.
To: nickcarraway
make that $12-$14 a piece.
I buy used CDs.
