Doesn't Article 3 Section 2 of the US Constitution give the US Congress the power to regulate and override the Supreme Court? Any legal persons out there who can clarify this?
... In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make....

nice to see Murray feel some pressure out there on the left coast. All it will take is one or two Dem senators telling Daschle they need to approve these judges and we'll see Estrada "quietly" confirmed...

" In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make...." Absolutely correct!
The U.S.S.C. was never intended to make law, or to rule the people from within it's own oligarchy.
Congress has allowed the U.S.S.C. to override the balance of power and it has now become so politically powerful Congress now bows to it and is helpless to bring it back in check.
We can't even get appellate judges named to the bench. What would happen if a pro-life, pro-family USSC appointee went before Congress?
Congress would run for the hills.

Making an issue out of the judicial nominations now would yield very little. If it picked up any traction, the media would take up the Dems side and the voters would go deaf from the arguing.
Make an issue in each individual Senate race, against each candidate holding up a vote, and you fly under the radar and enrage the public.
"Sen Patty Murray, compliments Usama Bin Laden, votes against cutting your taxes when you need the money the most, and blocks the nomination of judges rated "most approved" by the Bar Association. Washington State and Washington DC does not need another term of Sen Patty Murray."
