Exactly. Who stood in front of a refinery pledging to have California take over a large chunk of our economy?? ;-) If it had been Arnold who did it I'd say throw him and his supporters out of FR. Now let's turn our fire upon the REAL socialist enemy!!!

Tag - you're it.
And with that, my bed calls as well. G'night all - may we all be granted the wisdom that God gave geese.

Problem with that is that the term is so nebulous. According to some on this thread, people who have all of their natural teeth and always take the Marlboro from between their lips before telling the State Trooper who pulled them over to "kiss my a**" could conceivably be described as "socialist."
Let me suggest some books for your edification. Socialism, by Ludwid Von Mises and The Road to Serfdom, by F.A. Hayek.
Essentially, socialism is the belief that the state has an inherent right to control any mode of production or distribution of wealth by whatever means and to any degree that it sees fit.
By the way strela, you accuse me of being drunk. Is that not a personal attack?

who would excuse "gang-banging" a defenseless woman.
The assumption is that she was a defenseless victim? Its just as possible that the muscle bound male sex objects were victims of her sexual desire. Have you ever been to Muscle Beach?

;-) Yep.

Is it somehow significant that the "ho" in question is Black? Why the mention?
Would it somehow be significant if she were blonde?

The Dem. party cannot win elections without the votes of a bunch of out-of-the-mainstream "depravitos."

Any one who has seen the infamous Whitney Houston "gangbang" video - well on second thought let's not go there since this a family friendly forum. Voters can make their own judgment on whether to forgive Arnold for something that happened a long time ago or not if it fact it did happen and wasn't more than an idle boast in a magazine interview.

To quote nwrep:
link
Unless Arnold has undergone a spiritual transformation, here are his positions which are indistinguishable from Grey Davis:
* Pro gay civil unions at the least, and pro gay marriage. This may be an area in which he may actually be to the left of Gray Davis, since Davis has not yet come out in favor of gay marriages.
* Pro gun control, in the name of "violence reduction".
* In favor of intrusive and unconstitutional use of the government.
* Pro environment, probably about as much as Davis.
* Pro abortion.
* Pro tax hikes to achieve the "common good" of the people.
* Pro affirmative action.
THOSE ARE SOCIALIST POSITIONS! STUFF A SOCK IN IT.

I agree, but what he really means is government control of property "for the sake of the environment" which, ironically, almost always leads to resource damage (witness the former soviet union and our national forests).

Do you think the government has a right to tell me what to do with my property so long as I'm not damaging the value of my neighbor's property? If so, then you're pro-environment in the sense discussed here. That would also make you a socialist. Of course we're all for the environment, but some of us are smart enough to realize property rights produce the cleanest, most productive environments. Arnold's apparently not smart enough to realize this.

Of course I believe in clean air and pure water and a respect for nature. That doesn't mean I advocate command and control methods and outright government confiscation to make it all happen. You can be pro-environment without being an enviro wacko and its high time conservatives took the issue away from the Left. We want a liveable plant to bequeath to our children and grandchildren too.
