I dont think you are going to find any candidate that will overturn the assault weapons ban
To: Brian S
When asked by Sean Hannity if he supports "the Brady Bill or the 'assault weapons' ban or both," Schwarzennegger replied "Yes, I do [unintelligible] support that, and also I would like to close the loophole of the gun shows." He repeated that stance on "The Larry Elder Show," and added that he would also like to see laws for trigger locks. Arnold is apparently unaware the there IS NO gun show "loophole" in California. And we HAVE trigger lock and safe storage laws. You cannot buy a firearm in this state without having to buy one of the DOJ "approved" trigger locks, or prove you own a DOJ "approved" safe. Arnold, gets your facts straight.

I sent him a copy of "Gun Facts" yesterday, hopefully he'll sit down and read it.

If I lived in CA, I could *NOT* vote for him.

Precisely why California Republicans will always be in the minority:
Because they want to be "centrists", and don't give anyone a reason to vote for them instead of the Dimocrats.

I'm glad you did that. Maybe somebody on his staff will read it and give Mr. S. an update, so he doesn't embarrass himself with this cr** any more.

And Bustamante is GOOD for gun owners? He would probably confiscate them. What a dumb commentary with only 5 weeks to go.
There is Arnold, or Bustamante. Any other discussions this late in the game are an exercise in futility.
To: .38sw
One significant issue with ANY statement made by Schwarzeneggar is his murdering of the English language....especially prepositions.
What it means, if effect, for those who listen to him speak is that he can come back later and say he "meant" just about anything.
And he's already anti-gun.
But...is he a hypocrite? His movies play to those who believe in self-defense and use whatever means they can to defend themselves. He likes to make money off the theme that a person can defend himself -- even with a gun -- but then he tries to gut that belief in real life.

LOL (even though I shouldn't)
To: ElkGroveDan
At least Schwarzenegger is possibly open to education on the subject, whereas Bustamante is clearly not. That's why I'll be voting for Arnold if he maintains his front-runner status through to October 7.
