Mad? We're winning. Everything. The GOP holds the White House, Senate, Congress and majority of state governorships. And what does winning do for you if all you pass are liberal policies. Nationalized healthcare, more bureaucracy, free trade with nations that don't reciprocate, the list goes on. No, the GOP forgot the term conservative and decided to go for the votes. That's how they got elected. Of course a movement, if you can call the neocons a movement, that idolizes FDR and Wilson as good Presidents isn't anything that I would want to be a part of

What are you talking about? The 'there's no such thing as a neocon' spin went out months ago.
Irving Kristol, who is considered the Godfather of neoconservatism and the wordsmith who put the term to place, had a stunning admission not two weeks ago that the neoconservatives are not interested in the preservation of liberty (as defined by the forefathers.)

You offer me Hillary Clinton. No thanks.

You offer me Hillary Clinton. No thanks.I 'offer' no such thing. If the Republican Party continues its move to the left and in the process loses the conservative part of the party through its indifference to them, it's not our fault if Hillary wins.
The problem with the Republican Party is when they see someone like Hillary get into office, they feel the successful Democrat's stance must be parroted but with an R besides the name of the next candidate. Instead of standing for conservatism they continue to move to the left to gain votes. Healthcare? 'Homeland' Security? 15 billion for AIDS? How long do you think these faux tax cuts are going to last when the bills for these 'conservative' actions start to come in?
As for conservative judges give me a break. The few Bush has presented and the ones many on here are whining about the Senate not confirming are moderate at best

Just like I thought...I'm a Realist.
Of course this was obvious to me based on one pertinant (To Free Republic) fact...
I know that McClintock, just like Simon, can't win in California and the "RINO Screamers" are the TRUE "RINOs" around here.
To: billbears
I'd hate to see what you call a Conservative Judge.
To: u-89
"Neocons" believe that the United States should not be ashamed to use its unrivaled power forcefully if necessary to promote its values around the world. Some even speak of the need to cultivate a US empire. At least "Neo-Cons" despise Saudi Arabia and would topple their government, make the House of Saud camel-jockeys once again, and give us $1.25 gas again. Right now an "American Empire" sounds like a good idea if we can start by re=subjugating the Muslim world first.

Bush won't lose conservatives. He might lose you and your friends, but no serious person is under the impression that you and your crew are conservatives. National socialist Buchananites maybe, but definitely not conservatives.

EXCELLENT post. I salute you AND the Marine mentioned in the article. It's a good mirror of my own position: We defend OUR COUNTRY from ALL ENEMIES, foreign and domestic. We do not go out seeking more or to convert others to our way of thinking. THAT is ludicrous.
BTW, I was called an ISOLATIONIST after that quiz. I am proud to bear that title. I suspect that Smedley Darlington Butler was, as well.

That's about as valid as repeating that RINOld's pop was a nasty Nazi in WWII. And I consider the source about as biased as the Davis vs McClintock camp... meaningless drivel.

I'm about 70% neo conservative. I have always liked the paleo/Pat Buchannan postion on free trade and immigration. I am an economic nationalist.
One will find many semi-neo-cons who branch out and aren't 100% neo con. The most absurd thing is trying to tie the neo-cons onto Trotsky. Trotsky is ancient history who has NOTHING to do with the US invading Iraq 70+ years after Stalin had him killed

Other processes might not bring results quickly or what one exactly desires but it is wise to avoid wars. Planning to rearranging the world is megalomaniacal. Doing so through war is evil. Sending the least among us to do one's dirty work is even more reprehensible. So is using a horrible situation as an excuse for one's ambitions. Are you bleeping nuts and cowardly? Think back to 9-11-2001. This is when the story begins. The Islamic world did us and now we're doing them. And before 9-11 Bin Laden was demolishing our embassies in Africa with huge death tolls and the cowardly Bill Clinton did NOTHING. Did you vote for AlGore so you would get more of the same?
If there is a "war party" there is a "cowardice party" and you and Justin Raimondo belong to it. Payback is a b***h and not responding is not an option. In fact we are taking the initiative and seeing their (the Muslim world) responses. We are pro active instead of waiting to be attacked.

I have NEVER heard anyone 'speak' or even hint at such a thing. Methinks this maroon has his head up his commie arse!
I wonder if he could point to any such 'speak'?
