I don't know what they will do, nor do I know any financial specifics. Sorry.

I'm so sorry to hear about your lovely mother. I'm certain she was lovely because I greatly admire her child! You and yours are in my prayers.

Thanks, about the poem. Actually I wrote it this morning as I was posting.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. Just went what you are going through with my Dad in February. Don't let anyone tell you (later on, they'll try) when your grieving should be over. They are sometimes well-intentioned people, but they're not in your shoes. Take your time. Do what you need to do for you, and not everyone else. Know your own limits. Grieving for a loved one, even though it was anticipated, is a long and personal road. Life will go on, but it will be different. I've found that I look at life from a new perspective now. It's more beautiful and sacred than it used to be. I'll add you to my prayer list. Stay well, my friend!

Nice article by Jeff Johnson on that link. Felos is just a crook with a license to practice law. (IMHO). Among other things, I found this portion of the article to be intersting info:

"He told litigating attorneys that he would deliver a ruling on the removal of Terri's feeding tube as well as the emergency motion for immediate therapy ... on Wednesday," Hennessy told CNSNews.com. "But he's not calling another hearing. It's assumed, at this stage, that he's going to deliver whatever ruling he has via facsimile or courier."

I guess those cameras in the courtroom really unnerved him. Yep, he's much more effective when he works behind closed doors.

Does anyone know when the second chance with Fed. Judge Lazzara is?

Welcome back! Look to phenn's post #4397 for a recent article about Terri and what's going on. That's pretty much what we're dealing with here. The only other thing is a poll from www.tbo.com (Tampa Bay Online) about whether Terri's feeding tube should be removed. We'd like for them to take if off their site, but until they do we're trying to make sure Terri's voice is heard.

My condolences at the loss of your mother. I took care of my mother-in-law who had Alzheimers until her death. I pray you will find comfort in knowing that you were there for her.

I liked that Psalm. I went and got out my bible to see if there was something appropriate to read at the gravesite at my mom's funeral. I'm looking at a couple of them. I would prefer something uplifting, though. Anyone have any suggestions from the Douay Rhiems version of the Bible? Most of the Psalms are the same as the King James version, except for keeping the archaic language.

"If nothing else, he could march on the hospice, hold press conferences, draw attention to this "Judge" Greer, even possibly remove Greer from the bench. "

YES, HE COULD.

Governor Bush's thoughts on the issue:

"Gee, if I try to do something about this, PEOPLE MIGHT NOT LIKE ME, and then they won't vote for me. Couldn't have THAT. I'm the Governor. Yep, that's ME, the Governor!! And my brother's the President!! Boy, I'D LIKE TO BE PRESIDENT someday, wouldn't that be just peachy keen!!!
I think I'll give Dad a call and ask him if I can come up this weekend and ride on his boat!!
Better to get out of town during all this controversy. Got to avoid THAT. Not good for the career at all."

Well, maybe I'm wrong, and the governor just doesn't understand what's at stake here.
That's probably the explanation.

With apologies for the sarcasm, Governor.

It's not a psalm, but you might look at Wisdom 3:1-6,9. The Douay Rheims version is particularly beautiful. I will keep looking. Also, hasn't your priest made some recommendations? Ours gave us so many to choose from that were really so lovely, it was hard to pick.

Also take a look at Psalms 99, 11, and 120 (Douay Rheims, specifically). See if any of those are what you might be looking for. Of course, Psalm 22 (23 in other versions) is very nice, too.

I am going to get off the computer for a while. I can't bear to hear the formal ruling coming down shortly. "Nauseating" is too mild a term for how I will surely feel.

Waiting for another miracle that I don't think will come

DEVELOPING... I was doing a google search for Greer and Howard Dean kept popping up. So, I went to Dean's campaign web site and someone is posting there as George Greer. What's my beef with that?

HOWARD DEAN IS FOR EUTHANASIA. If This George Greer is our George Greer, WE BETTER MAKE SURE THAT WE EMAIL FLORIDA LEADERS THE FOLLOWING POST THAT I FOUND:

Great Labor Day Speech this morning in Boston by William Rivers Pitt. http://truthout.org/docs_03/090103A.shtml Posted by George Greer at September 1, 2003 03:05 PM

WE DON'T HAVE THE RESOURCES to investigate if this is Pinellas County's George Greer but this WOULD STOP THE PROCEEDINGS SO THEY COULD ASK GREER IF IT'S HIM OR NOT! Kimmie7, please ping the list and email phenn pronto. Thanks.

PS TO DEVELOPING... Howard Dean held a rally at a Devil's Ray game in August in Pinellas County. Any chance the baseball fan, George Greer, met up with candidate Howard Dean, who's for euthanasia? We don't know but someone needs to find out!

I'm repeating the post that I found on a Howard Dean official site message board:

Great Labor Day Speech this morning in Boston by William Rivers Pitt. http://truthout.org/docs_03/090103A.shtml Posted by George Greer at September 1, 2003 03:05 PM

SOMEONE FROM TERRI'S TEAM NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE IF THIS IS JUDGE GREER OR NOT. This may get Greer disqualified from the case if he's hanging with a euthanasia prez candidate.

I am with you Kimmie. Actually I thought it would have begun around 11 am or so.

Take heart and have hope. If they lose here, they should have sound legal ground to appeal and win. Sometimes God may let us lose a smaller issue to win a larger one, and if this ends up in federal court it could change the future dramatically.

You cannot say someone cannot eat and drink. I just don't see it making law. He may be able to force Terri to have to learn quickly but the speech therapists are experienced and God is all powerful.
