I'm still waiting for a re-run of the Sailor Mouth episode. That's one of my favorites and I never seem to catch it.

I've never allowed my kids to watch teletubbies. It's not because of the gay thing, it's because the things talk babytalk which might encourage my toddler to talk the same way. He loves Blue's Clues and Dora the Explorer, which have taught him to count and learn most of his letters. He also loves the Wiggles and Spongebob.

"Have you watched the Fairly Oddparents? That show is hilarious! I love the Arnold-esque Jorgen Von Strangle! "
My toddler watches that too and I find it enteraining as well. It's nice when they make cartoons that aren't torture for you to watch with your kids.

"Personally, I find myself pondering why Garfield can talk (or does he only use thought balloons? It seems to change sometimes.) while Odie speaketh not. "
Cats are smarter than dogs. (duh)

This just pisses me off.
Why can't the "gay community" just stick to babs, bravo, & butt-jousting?

I've always wanted to know why Porky Pig & Donald Duck never wore pants.I don't think any of the Looney Tunes animals wore pants on a regular basis. But Bugs seemed to be in drag quite a bit. By the way.....is Tweety male or female??? My niece insists its a female, but I never thought so.

Well I for one don't think there's enough products with SBSP's picture on it. Where are the SpongeBob Tampons?

I LOVED that episode! I laughed so hard my tummy hurt.
To: mewzilla

I always thought Tweety was a male. I didn't even know there was a debate on the subject.

Spongebob is definately not gay... "naively innocent and goofy " are probably the best adjectives for the character.

I always thought Tweety was a male. I didn't even know there was a debate on the subject.I never really thought about it before my niece brought it up...Also, the Warner Brothers stores for some reason, always seems to put Tweety on the women's clothing items. Mel Blanc was Tweety's voice though, and I don't think he did the female characters.

Are you sure? Spongebob does have a father, a mother and a grandma. Well, and eyes, and a pet snail. It was the creator's comment in an interview that he considered Spongebob "pretty asexual" that was the joke.

"I always thought Tweety was a male."
Of course!
He was self-possessed and full of wise-ass comments about Sylvester's various misfortunes.
Very much like a feathered Bugs Bunny, actually.
I'm a Foghorn Leghorn fan, personally. ;^)

I loved the episode when spongee brings home a pet jelly fish and disco dances with it all night except the jelly fish dosen't want to go to sleep and keeps cranking up the stereo.....haven't see that one in a few years!!!!

The US religious right said Tinky Winky was gay From Time magazine, July 20, 1998:
In the past five years, several movies, plays, tabloid shows and famous cross-dressers like RuPaul have moved from the fringes of gay culture to prime time. Even Teletubbies, a show for toddlers, features Tinky Winky, a boy who carries a red patent-leather purse.
From People magazine, December 28, 1998:
Gay men have made the purse-toting Tinky Winky a camp icon.
From the Washington Post, January 1, 1999:
Tinky Winky, the gay Telletubby. . .
Yep, Time, People and the Washington Post. All those Religious Right fronts.
