Just read another article that said "religious conflict cited as cause." Religious conflict? Why not just tell it like it is -- Islamic terrorism.

I found the refs on OPIC [Overseas Private Investment Corporation]. It covers "Loss of assets or income due to war, revolution, insurrection, or politically motivated civil strife, terrorism, or sabotage."

Many if not most of the older mosques were all built upon the ruins of Hindu temples (ruined for the purpose) or even actual Hindu temples that had been ransacked and turned into mosques. Claims of Muslim architecture are vastly over-rated. When the Muslims occupied India, they forced into servitude large numbers of skilled artisans and intelligentsia to work in Muslim countries, since the Hindus were such a highly advanced culture. If only they had been more militarily strong at that time.

I think these verses from the Bhagavad Gita more appropriate:

The sages, knowing Me as the ultimate purpose of all sacrifes and austerities, the Supreme Lord of all planets and demigods and the benefactor and well-wisher of all living entities, attains peace from the pangs of material miseries. (B.G. 5.29)

The stage of perfection is called trance, or samadhi, when one's mind is completely restrained from material mental activities by practice of yoga. This is characterized by one's ability to see the self by the pure mind and to relish and rejoice in the self. In that joyous state, one is situated in boundless transcendental happines and enjoys himself through transcendental senses. Established thus, one never departs from the truth, and upon gaining this, he thinks there is no greater gain. Being situated in such a position, one is never shaken, even in the midst of the greated difficulty. This is actual freedom from all miseries arising from material contact. (B.G. 6.22-23)

The yogi whose mind is fixed on Me verily attains the highest happiness. By viture of his identity with Brahman [seeing himself as eternal soul],he is liberated, his mind is peaceful, his passions are quieted, and he is freed from sin. (B.G.6.27)

Note: the verses you linked to were a description of the universal devastating form of God; since God is the creator of all, His is also the destroyer of all, and then creates again. Atheists deny God's existence but they see Him as death, which they cannot deny.

Why! For the life of me, I will not understand...why does the media always try to justify Muslim terror activity? I just don't get it!!

It's about power. The big media is pretty homogenious in its ownership. That is, we don't have a free mass media anymore. The commies own it. It was the same in Russia. The commies owned the comunications of the country long before the revolution. They use them to create what I call a "mad zombie culture". The zombies become their soldiers. They fight on thier behalf. For recgonition, for career, out of sheer stupidity. The shady masters stay hidden.
Today, the Islamists are the only self contained zomby culture in the hands of the rulers by delusion. Muslims may be behind in some areas but make it up 10 times in zealotry. The rest are simply insecurely held idiots - Stalin, the Democrats, Greens, gay clubs, etc.
I hope you get the idea.

Because this conflict is largely between intolerant fundamentalist Muslims and intolerant fundamentalist Hindus. The description is accurate.

In a haunting replay of the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts after the Babri Masjid demolition

This refers to a case where a Muslim mosque situated on top of a hindu temple was demolished in 1993, leading to rioting and bombing. (The demolition was done by Hindu activists, and was not authorized by the govt. The mosque had earlier been turned over to the Hindus)

The attack on and destruction of the mosque was done largely by the RSS, which is basically a cross between a Hindu Taliban and an Indian nationalist-fascist organization. They are allied with the current government and are so out-there that they attack stores and couples for celebrating Valentine's Day. The Muslims dont have anything resembling a monopoly on violent fanaticism in India.

In India, "holy war" isn't a strictly Islamic concept.

NO, but you can never wait to extend the figlead of moral equivalence whenever innocent Indians are killed.

BTW, this is a great backdrop for Sharon's visit to India next month.

Long live the Sionist Hindu WorldWide Conspiracy!

So they're both essentially the same, eh? Do you also put Christian fundamentalists in the same boat? Jewish?
