>>> ... then will you say that Tom should drop out for the good of all?Now that's a first. Thanks for the intelligent question. Tom McClintock is a politician and sometimes has to do things that go against his better judgment. McClintock is a loyal Republican and a smart/savvy conservative. I would expect McClintock to drop out within 2-3 weeks of the recall election, if he's way behind. We shall see.
However, I thought better of Arnold Schwarzenegger before all this recall crap started. Arnold has been a huge disappointment.

"Stop whining like little kid"Now you're whining at me because I remind you of the agreement you made when you applied for the posting privilege in this forum? This might be a good time to review that agreement, AU. There's a reason why personal insult is not allowed here, and that reason is because trolls use personal attack to provoke flame wars, thereby disrupting the forum. I'm actually being very kind to you. At this point.

Too bad some others don't also have enough political savy to realize that McClintock is a "useful idiot" for them.Too bad you don't realize that 'useful idiot' was a term that communists used in reference to liberals.

(Has a moderate Republican ever moved to the RIGHT after getting elected?)
To: Bonaparte
You first called me a "carnival barker". Notice how I didn't whine like a little kid. I characterize you as a "political neophyte" and you act like I cursed out your family. You throw the first insult and then cry like a little kid when one is returned.
To: JoeSchem
Too bad you don't realize that 'useful idiot' was a term that communists used in reference to liberals. Yes, I do realize that.
To: Reagan Man
I find it interesting that almost none of Arnie's supporters are demanding that Ueberroth drop out.
No, their focus is on McClintock and McClintock exclusively. In one breath they hysterically demand McClintock withdraw; in the next breath they assure us McClintock has absolutely no hope at all.
Their confusing blend of hysterics and marginalizing of McClintock is actually a confession that McClintock is far more of a contender than they dare to admit with their mouths.

>>>Their confusing blend of hysterics and marginalizing of McClintock is actually a confession that McClintock is far more of a contender than they dare to admit with their mouths.Agreed.
And outside of Fox news, the general silence from the media and the press on the McClintock campaign, shows a desire to keep him off the radar screen, for as long as possible. Outta sight, outta mind, off TV and down in the polls. Such a strategy, just may work. Then again, it may not work. It may backfire on them.
To: Reagan Man
I suspect that if the numbers were reversed, many if not most of them would still be urging McClintock to drop out in favor of Schwarzenfahrvegnugen.
To: Kevin Curry
>>>Schwarzenfahrvegnugenhehehehehehehe

In one breath they hysterically demand McClintock withdraw; in the next breath they assure us McClintock has absolutely no hope at all. This is so very simple. Let's say McClintock gets 10% of the vote. He:
1) has absolutely no hope at all.
2) Can absolutely be a spoiler and "give" insure that Busty wins
What's not to understand?
To: deport
If it was him only against Cruz then that's another race but it's not...Then why is it encumbent upon McClintock to drop our?
To: AmericaUnited
Davis's team and supporters are quietly helping McClintock's campaign That's disturbing news, especially of McClintock's camp is aware of it.
To: Kevin Curry
Uhhhh.... hey dude.. your "GOP Uber Alles" sticker fell off.

What's not to understand? How you can support a flaming liberal like Arnie Schwarzenmuttonhead when there is a viable conservative in the race.
That, MizAmericaPie, is the mystery of the ages.
To: Kevin Curry
I suspect that if the numbers were reversed, many if not most of them would still be urging McClintock to drop out in favor of Schwarzenfahrvegnugen. We may have a chance to see.

viable conservative We differ on what "viable" means.
To me, a viable candidate stands a "good" chance of winning. McClintock has little more than a snowballs chance. But we shall see now, won't we. Talk is cheap. I'll touch base back in a month.
My predictions: Arnold's campaign will have opened up a good lead over Busty, and a "substantial lead" over McClintock.
To: Kevin Curry
I'm guessing you also thought Mr .00005% ( aka Pat Buchanan ) was a "viable" conservative candidate in 2000.
To: Kevin Curry
What are your thoughts about Howard Dean getting the demonrat nomination in 04?

"You throw the first insult..."AmericaUnited [post3]: Too bad some others don't also have enough political savy [sic.] to realize that McClintock is a "useful idiot" for them.
The thread's barely even started and you toss out the first insult to all those who don't share your position.
AmericaUnited [post 20]: "It always amazes me how some on the right are as delusional as most on the left. Such a disconnect from reality tells me they have they [sic.] same serious thinking disorder as most liberals."
Now those whose views differ from yours not only lack "savy" (sic.) but are delusional, disconnected from reality, have thinking disorders and are likened to liberals.
AmericaUnited [post 28]: "Well, maybe you're just ignorant about Arnold. Here's some smart's [sic.] for you..."
Now ignorance and stupidity are added to the growing list of insulting characterizations of those on this thread who don't share your view.
AmericanUnited [post 35]: "Please, stop just spewing out nonsense. Here's what Arnold has said about cutting taxes and spending, making your statement a big lie.."
And list just keeps growing. Now Reagan Man is a liar who "spews nonsense."
Bonaparte [post 37]: "You can carnival bark all you want for Arnold."
Finally, you are fed just a little of your own medicine, which you've been dishing out to others for 4 posts -- and you whine about being called a carnival barker.
AmericaUnited [post 41]: "What a political neophyte."
To summarize: You kick off the discussion by personally attacking both individual posters and whole groups of conservatives who differ with your views and hold their opinions just as sincerely as you hold yours. Now you complain that you're given a small dose of the same rudeness you've already treated the rest of us to.
You are clearly a disruptor, trying to start a flame war.
