IMHO Compared to the media's spell-checkin' and fact "checkin'", we at FR do a magnificent job. After all, whose to say whether it was us or them who had the typos. And don't put it past the homie newspaper to bungle a few words "accidently on purpose"! ;0 You're a media expert NOW, LanPB01 baby ;)

Maybe you "smart" Republicans who slam Wisconsin should do a little Inernet search on the Republican Party". Then you can see just how "smart" your aren't.
"The Republican Party was born in the early 1850's by anti-slavery activists and individuals who believed that government should grant western lands to settlers free of charge. The first informal meeting of the party took place in Ripon, Wisconsin, a small town northwest of Milwaukee. "

Baron's favorite nickname for Bush, which she used to shout at the TV, was "whistle ass." I recall hearing the term "whistle britches" in Texas, usually referring to a lout or self-important, egotistical liar. Perhaps it was a cleaned-up version of "whistle ass". I have no idea of the origin of the term. Railroad slang? A web search indicates that corduroy pants are also known as 'whistle britches'.
