Well, your views are way to Pro-Israel to have a decent and moderate discussion.

My post in #90 had very little to do with Israel, and instead pointed out the inconsistencies of YOUR own statements. You belive that we have the right to counterstike in response to terror attacks, but Israel doesn't. But rather than face those inconsistencies, you instead try to falsely impunge my position.

But I'd expect as much from someone who thinks that hanguns should be legal but long guns should be banned. That is the epitome of inconsistency.

So what's your opinion about the expansion of the Jewish settlements in the West Banks and the Gaza Strip?

Those would not have happened if the Palestinians had agreed to terms a few years ago. But it seems Sharon is willing to remove those if it would lead to peace.

Instead, the other side carries out a terror attack, and when Israel retaliates in a controlled manner against leadership targets, Hamas has the unmitigated gall to say they are calling off the cease-fire. How can you call off something you've already broken?

That is the mindset Israel is facing. But all you can do is shrug, be lazy and not pass judgement. But you're sure willing to wade into a thread and throw your uninformed opinions about.

And how do you keep Palestinians from joining that terrorist organization? Give them jobs and a secular education.

Sorry Kurt, but that liberal social experimentation theory doesn't fly. It doesn't fly because the palis think they can WIN this thing, get rid of Israel once and for all if they keep terrorizing. They also stand to lose power & money if there is no longer a revolution. Also, they've culled many of the individuals who would have been interested in coming to an accomodation with Israel -- and the rest keep their mouths firmly closed to avoid the same fate. There's three quick reasons why your theory sucks. Thanks, Free Republic.

I don't care if your dad is alan dershoshitz, if you side against Israel you can go to hell as far as I am concerned. They have the same enemies as the USA. Many Pali's have been killed in Iraq, trying to kill our soldiers. And some have succeeded. You're more a Rhino than a moderate. Regardless, both are sickening.

Quicktime Video of today's rocket hit in Gaza (Warning: extremely graphic footage).

Frickin' animals. It's awfully hard to generate sympathy for a people who mob a burned out car and scream and scream and dance around.

Sharon (and his succesor) won't pull out of the settlements from the West Bank. The expansion of the settlements in the Occupied Territories is an integral part of Israel's foreign policy.

Once again, the Palestinians could have had 96 percent a few years ago. They walked. The settlement expansion could have been stopped right then and there.

But they should't forget, that there are roughly 1 billion Muslims.... and Israel seems to push her luck with them.

You don't compromise or negotiate with thugs. Clinton tried that and we got 9/11. You smash them in the face and make them never want to fight again.

And, since we're outnumbered by Muslims by 4-1, I guess we should just turn the other cheek then, eh?

Kumba-frikin-ya...

It goes withouth saying that Hamas wants to destroy Israel... but Israel also profits from those terrorist attacks. It gives her reasons to build fences, expand the land occupation ...................

Blaming the victim. Pallies could have had their own state numerous times. You are sick. And I notice your homepage promotes gay marriage.

Again, and just for you. I am not AGAINST or in FAVOR of any party in this conflict.

However, once again, Israel faces the same kind of attacks that we suffered on 9/11 - and you said we were right in retaliating. Yet you said this about Israel and the Palestinians:

And both have decided to engage in horseplay, rather than civilized negotiations and compromises.

So it's OK for us to fight back but Israel should just turn the other check and negotiate while the other party unleashes suicide bombers upon its populace?

That's the problem - you are so blinded by your hatred of religion that you cannot discard it and apply logic and reason to the situation on the ground in Israel.

When is Annan's term over, anyway? He isn't Sec'y Gen'l for life, is he?

From Wikipedia:

"UN Secretaries General normally spend two terms in office; however sometimes they will serve only one if there is significant member state disapproval of their performance. That is what happened to Boutros Boutros-Ghali. The position of UN Secretary General is supposed to rotate by geographic region, but that rule is often broken. Since Boutros Boutros-Ghali served only one term, his successor (Kofi Annan) had to come from Africa as well. When Kofi Annan had finished his first term, the position should have gone to an Asian by the custom of rotation. The member states were very impressed with Annan's performance, and so they appointed him to a second term anyway."

Apparently, it is a four year term. It implies that his second term started in 2001.

All of THEM. At least until they grow up to be civilized beings. It may happen tomorrow or it may never happen. I would for the forseeable future be content to let the Palestinians rot behind one big cage.

there we have the Nutcases that call themselves the Chosen People and use the bible to justify an expansionist foreign policy,

This is a stone cold lie. Euhud Barak offered up 95% of the West Bank and Gaza to your heroic Muslims. You can go ask Yassir Arafat why he turned it down and started the intifada.

Israel is desperate to shed what the commies like to call "the occupied territories" while you tell lies that Israel is expansionist.

Reduced to name-calling, I see. I guess, given how poorly you've defended your positions on this thread, that you really don't have much choice.

What I would like to see is no wall in Israel. But if the Palestinians insist on behaving like savages there's no alternative. And the truth is as a humane person I would like every one to get along but when innocent people are murdered yes, the animals do have to be locked up.

Then why don't you take your BS and go somewhere else to play. You are very uninformed.
