It isn't foul language but has anyone noticed the anger? In the Calif recall Dem spokesman Bob Mulholland and Dem party chief Torres are the angriest guys I have ever seen on TV. All they do is yell. And God forbid they actually answer a direct question.

I received a freepmail this morning from a poster/disruptor who apparently was upset by something I wrote on the Janeane Garofalo thread. I posted twice to that thread, once to copy and paste the excerpted article and again to mention my CNN LIES bumper sticker:

This is the mail message ($ and ! are mine):

In the spirit of your obvious lack of intellegence and tact, I offer to you a severe a$$-kicking. Please say you live in NYC, and I promise to meet you and kick the living sh!t out of you. Please. How can you have that much fear, hatred and insecurity to berate someone like that? Well, I'll just kick all that sh!t out of you...how's that? Is that something you can understand?

Upon searching for the sender of this message, I am told there is no such freeper. If the account had been banned, wouldn't that be revealed from the search?

Look at the profanity and four letter words on DU if you ever want to see what they think about Republicans. They also use them about each other. Typical of the \left\ leaning RATs. They think this is what free speech means.

I got virtually the same email. He never posted a message. He just signed up yesterday and emailed people. I figured that he might have been striking other FReepers. I tipped off the Admin Moderator who pulled the plug.

Several "new" recruits have been responding to old old threads. One was a woman who reportedly was the subject of an article (the musician who was "banned" from Borders over something she said about President Bush at one of her concerts there). Another was a muslim responding to a post on an article about an animated film about Mohamed.

I take some people's claims at face value, that they are who they say that they are. I think that some DUmmycrats are bringing some newbies to FR (hey did you see this).

The cursor emailed shortly after a number of foul mouthed threads were posted against President Bush, Arnold, Conservatives... Some even had profanity in the header. They are going mad, folks.

Hmmmm. I am not pro abuse button. I prefer the ignore button but in this case I would see this as a personal threat of coarse if it is from a spewing lefty it is normal behavior.

Did you respond. Maybe should just ignore the creep.

oceanperch: I was shocked, I tell ya. This was my first ever threatening freepmail. I thought that if the sender were serious, surely he'd addressed it to the wrong person. But yes, I responded and now am almost sad he's been banned as my reply was so witty. LOL

I know a painter who cusses without realizing it. He doesn't even think about it...

You know how when you're talking and a word is on the tip of your tongue, and you say something like: "So, anyway, the other day I was the..uh..the um...what's the word...uh...the store..that's the word, store..."

Well, this guy talks like "So, any-f*ckin-way... goddam... the other day I was at the ..uh .. the f*ckingoddam uh...the f*ckingoddam...oh, sh*t, what the f*ck am I tryin to say, the f*ckin store...that's it, the f*ckingoddam store..."

I cracks me up. "f*ckingoddam,f*ckingoddam" inserted two or three times into every sentence. It doesn't offend me or anything, it's just wierd. He doesn't even emphasize the cusswords. It's almost like Turrette's syndrome or something.

If I hadn't seen the troll posting in progress and then received the email almost immediately afterwards, I probably wouldn't have seen or looked for this thread.

I figured at first that it was prompted by the foul mouthed troll(s).

I use sailor talk in the privacy of my home, bad habit. I would feel like an idiot spewing it in public.

Quite. As soon as I get home from work, I greet my wife with a hearty "Ahoy, matey!" When my kids start acting up, I yell "Avast, ye swabs!" And when I get ticked off by some nattering nabobs on television, I usually go full bore pirate with "Arrrr, ye scurvy dogs!"

But if I did that at work or on the bus, people would think I was some kind of a nut.
