The editor kicked Robert Uhlig out the door and said go find a story.

So Robert hit the pubs for a week or two. He woke up in a drunken stupor, staggered back to the office and the editor asked about cows.

Robert is sitting there with mud on his togs, fleas jumping outta his ears, worms in his hair, smelling like a cow-pie. "Whatja say?" he asks, burping a Guiness hurricane.

"I said," says the editor, "can you spell cow?"

"No way," says Robert. " After seeing them bulls do what they do to cows, ain't no way I'm gonna go in the field an' stand a spell for a cow."

"Okay," says the editor, "you're our farming correspondent."

Ernest indexes and he does have a ping list but it's mostly for political stuff like budget, elections etc. I think. Don't take my word for it. I'm on the list so I know it exists. I have the rights, farms, environment list. I ping for property rights including grazing, mining, and logging. I also cover the environment stuff because the enviro movement effects the above as well as farms. There are other enviro lists. Madfly has one. I was really just teasing you. You'll note that Libertarianize the GOP did ping me and usually does. I counted up the pings I get one time. I get between 70 and 80 pings a day for various things.
