The library "donates" books to the Friends of the Houston Public Library when they clear their shelves. FHPL then has a big book sale and has been known to pitch the rest of those into the city dump (the books that don't sell).

Perhaps it would be better to burn some of the trash that is taking up space in the city dump.

It seems that the Democrats can't take a joke. I guess it is alright to hide in Oklahoma and New Mexico, but we aren't allowed to have a little fun. This event was intended to be a lighthearted afternoon for the whole family.

Over the past few days, our office has received numerous phone calls containing profane and threatening language regarding the event. After bringing this information to the attention of the building owner, the decision was made to move the rally to the Harris County Republican Party Headquarters.

Therefore, after long consideration regarding the safety of our supporters at the event, and at the request of the
building's owners, we are moving the rally and making it an Open House Party. Come by and meet with candidates and elected officials for our upcoming elections.

A good time will be had by all!

Where: 3311 Richmond, Suite 218

When: 3:00 pm

Refreshments will be provided.

This is a disappointing but understandable decision. Rats were going to have their union thugs out there and things could have gotten ugly, I guess. Besides, they would have portrayed this as something sinister, rather than us having some fun.

I understand your sentiment. However, I don't care how democrats "portray" things. Their method of protrayal ever since Election 2000 has been one lie after another. Whenever democrats accuse Republicans of anything, you can be certain that it is the democrats that are guilty of such mis-deeds.

If they show up tomorrow at the relocated site, my response will be "head for Florida and find some Gore votes". They are still upset over it, since their 1960's tactics of election fraud didn't work (for once).

By the way, I was talking to some neighbors about this trying to recruite them before I knew it was called off, and one asked me why I hate the democrats so much.

My short answer? I left a socialistic country and came here and I don't want to live in another one, and won't stand for the Rats' commie agenda. THAT's why! Everybody fell silent; hope that gave them something to think about.
