"Astrology has been growing in popularity. Surveys suggest that a majority of people in Britain believe in it, compared with only 13 per cent 50 years ago."
Any Free Republic believers?

Well, damn. I check the horoscope once a year on my birthday, and it just assured me that I'd get a financial windfall in October.
Maybe I should cancel that round the world cruise I booked for Thanksgiving.

Astrology works. This is irrefutable.

My mother was an astrologer. She used her astrology to chart the growth of stocks based upon the astrological chart of the company and its executives. She was accurate approx. 80% of the time. My father never let her play with anything more than the "cheap" stocks.

Well, maybe not a true believer, but I can suspend disbelief.
"There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, then are dreamed of in your philosophies." - William S.
One case to support astrology, at least as a lead for clues - try a little reading on Hillary's horoscope. The results are pretty good, albeit chilling...

Peopel who believe in it won't want to hear this. It's like trying to document that Arnold is nothing more than a big liberal. You'll just get flamed.

If astrology is correct then every person dying as a result of the A-Bomb dropped on Hiroshima was born under the same sign.

My astronmy professor once pointed out that even if it worked, everyone would is wrong about what sign they are because for various reasons there has been a shift and what was once Aries is now Taurus, etc...

Yes, I know that detailed Astrology can work, but for different reasons. What you read in your Newspaper, is total rubbish, but an honest horoscope can be amazing sometimes.
I consider an honest horoscope as one that required the exact minute, Latitude and Longitude and other details of the moment when you were born.
The human mind is rather amazing and may sometimes be able to see things in the future. Most often these predictions prove to be false, but there is enough historical documentation available to keep the question open.
Astrology is only one of many methods to help the human mind open up to it's own abilities. The key is to use the method that works best for you as an individual.
No, the stars do not rule your future and Astrology is only one of many methods to help the human mind focus upon the abilities already there.
The secret of Astrology is locked inside the human mind, and not in the stars.

LOL! She died some time ago. The records are shredded.

Actually, the secret is locked in the soul; the stars can give some clues, but it is up to each of us to maximize what is given to us.

Recalling:
Astrology wizards you floor us,
Your odd superstition does bore us.
You still haven't guessed
That the poles have precessed,
Now your Gemini's really a Taurus!
