Hey, it was dark in NYC and there *wasn't* an astronomy picture of the day -- just a picture of NY with the lights out. Check it out at: http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html
As to impressive contributions, may I note that I am busy *learning* how to be a better hostess through a lovely online course on Adobe Acrobat <a href="http://graphicssoft.about.com/library/course/bllps5out.htm>found here,</a> which I would commend to you if I thought it was even possible for you. But, as they say, those who can, do, those who can't, carp.

Checked out the photo, great photo. Last night, no sooner did I take my batteries out of the radio, the lights went out. I thought, "here we go again" They were out for 10 minutes, due to a thunderstorm.
The Thin Man, thanks for always giving me a laugh.

It was good, the weather was a little too hot though. Stayed at home and just relaxed.
Hope yours was more exciting!

Billie or dansy, since Free also *pinged* you two, maybe one of *you* can explain to *me* what she said. I can't *understand* a word of her post.

Hi kjfine, Thank You for serving and protecting our great nation. Thoughts and Prayers are with all of you serving in Iraq. My cousin returned about a month and a half ago. A friend of the family is still there.

An e-mail from Jenni. She makes me so proud!
didn't tell you about Sunday. I haven't been sleeping really well so I got up early and went to mass at 10 by myself. It was a good service and I thought I'd go down to Lexington Rd so that I might stop at the library and pay any late fees. As I sat at the light a few women were posted on the corner with signs saying "Bush Lies.. Soldiers die" I kept thinking about it and it bothered me so much I pulled over a bit and asked them if they had anyone over there.I also asked if they realized those of us who do do not appreciate their efforts. When she suggested that I join them because the conditions are just deplorable I asked for an example. She mentioned her friend who returned for a funeral or illness in the family and he couldn't even get razors. I asked for his address. I told her it could take some time but he would get them. I also explained shaving cream in a can is a propellent and cannot be sent but that she could send the other kind. She said he had to buy some while he was here to take back with him. When she went on to say that more than half of the Iraqi population was under the age of 11 and that we just went ahead and bombed them I really got so pissed off. Unfortunately I was beginning to build up a blockage of the intersection and could not contain my composure any longer. What do they think war is? I was pretty upset and just sat out in the car and cried. Interestingly enough I had picked up a pamphlet at church about the good crying does for the body and soul. So I went ahead and let it go for a little in the car in the drive way.
I know we have it much better than alot of people. think about the guys in Korea or Viet Nam. We are very fortunate.
I love you very much and miss you even more than yesterday. And will more tomorrow.

The Thin Man, thanks for always giving me a laugh.Hi dh! It wouldn't be possible without Free. She provides much material. :-)

That's because I'm very busy trying to understand graphics and they make me feel incomprehensible.

Please know and let others know that many, many folks support the war in Iraq and support our troops. Above is a photo of some of my friends, we attended several rally's together. Jenni should make you proud, good for her.
Take Care and God Bless.

That is cool. Thanks for the support. I noticed the kids holding the posters, and it made me think of my kiddos. Boy, do I miss my family! Jenni has the hardest job in all of this. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not proud of her.

You have no idea just how many Americans are supporting our troops and praying for them. Staying behind is harder and we pray for all the families too. All the military and their families are heros in or book. God bless you all and especially bless your families with strength and peace.

"Boy, do I miss my family! Jenni has the hardest job in all of this. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not proud of her."I can't even begin to imagine how much you miss your family, my prayers are with them also. Families at home have a very tough job. Sounds like you have a wonderful wife. Military families have my admiration. You are all in this together. Take good care of yourself and please stop by the Finest whenever you can, we welcome you with open arms.
