Post 59 is downright disturbing.

I think you can rest a bit easier. Consider the similarity of style in the writing, the stilted structure, the anonymity, and whatever other analyses you might devise. On the other hand, perhaps we should be disturbed that there might be individuals with an html editor willing to put an agenda above forthrightness in the name of religion.

Thanks, bump for a later read.

I have little time for CCM. It's designed to catch the attention of the less articulate and concentrate on the beat so people feel good.

I am not being a weaker brother by obeying God's command to follow his worship elements instead of having "liturgical dance."

If you worship God in spirit and in truth, there is no better way than to sing God's divinely inspired hymnbook.

I have to ask why you believe your words are better than the Spirit's?

How do you know that the word's to some contemporary music ARE NOT divinely inspired? If that is what you are implying. ( I know the thread is old and probobly dead, but I just found it :o)

If you have already answered then forgive the question. I will se the answer as I read on.

Well, I believe that the Canon completes God's revelation, which also means there can't be any further inspiration of songs.

So, does that mean that the Holy Spirit no longer works through man to accomplish anything today? Oh my, how little the box we put God is then. No wonder his houses are filled with spiritually dead people. He is limited in His own house.

Frankly, were the Gospels to occur today, I would expect Jesus, a carpenter, to be wearing blue jeans.

Amen, lol.

What????

No. Revelation means God revealing something to a person in a special way (prophets etc.)

The Holy Spirit works just fine in people every day. I never said the Holy Spirit doesn't work through man to accomplish things.

Ok, I think that I understand what you believe then. I am not trying to bait you. I simply did not understand your beliefs. I believe differently, as you may have guessed, lol.
