The argument, for your weakened mind, is this:
North Korea is doing NUCLEAR BLACKMAIL.
Kinda hard to do that with nightvision gear.
YOUR argument doesn't hold a candle to a bovine methane outgassing!

The point of the goggles was that they may have caused more of our troops to have been killed. I guess that's fine with you? And it wasn't just night goggles. They also sold gps jammers, antitank missiles, and sent Russian military advisors to help the Iraqis.

Russian Military Sales to Iraq Disturbs Washington

Suggesting that gee, these guys just want to make a living is beyond the pale.

Incorrect.
You are equating nightvision goggles with nuclear blackmail.
Try something else.
Like France and Russia selling anti-tank weaponry to Iraq.
You also FAILED TO QUOTE ME WHERE I SUPPOSEDLY SAID THAT RUSSIA IS AN ALLY.

It has NOTHING to do with making a living.
It has everything to do with hostile actions that are provocations to war.
Take it from a former soldier.

You didn't say Russia was an ally. Russia did, and the U.S. government generally agreed with the comment.

Herkbird, who I pinged to my comment, was the one who said they were just trying to make a living.

I never equated selling the weaponry to nuclear blackmail. You did. Reread your post, and re-read mine.

Maybe nightgoggles will help.

I did read yours.
And that is what you said.
Trying to squirm out of what you said won't help.
"Pfah. Real allies don't sell our enemies items like these. Your argument, like the ones before, holds no water. Russia is dirty on this one."

YOUR quote.
You are saying that I said Russia is an ally.
RETRACT.

I won't retract what I didn't say.

So sue me.

So you are denying that you said this: "Pfah. Real allies don't sell our enemies items like these. Your argument, like the ones before, holds no water. Russia is dirty on this one."

You really should run for public office then.

I've seen children act in a more adult manner by the way.
And that quote is YOUR post 79.
Why don't you go back and use BASIC ENGLISH skills to READ it?
That IS what you said.
And that is what it means.

I am not denying typing what you quoted. I am denying saying that you said Russia was an ally. You didn't. I didn't say you did. I said, and I continue to believe, that allies don't treat allies the way Russia treated us. It's an observation, not a quote from you or anyone else.

If that is too difficult to comprehend, let me know, and I'll try to use smaller words.

Are you being deliberately obtuse, or are just another disruptor from DU? #88 was in response to #87 where you said: "YOUR quote. You are saying that I said Russia is an ally. RETRACT."

I never claimed that YOU said Russia was an ally. (hence my refusal to retract--I didn't write that you said Russia was an ally, so there's nothing to retract.)

On second thought, seeing your Freeper page, I see you have a tenuous grasp of reality (at best) so this will be my last comment on this topic.

I see you have NO idea the difference between fiction and reality.
Considering that you even bothered to think that the allegorical fiction on said bio page is 'reality' that says QUITE alot about YOUR view of reality.
I suggest therapy for your problem.

I do have to admit that your attempts to squirm out of your own comments has been rather amusing.
I also noticed that you "MizSterious hasn't created an about page." which shows a lack of imagination or pride.
I guess you didn't make one because you like to use the bio page as an attack path and are afraid of someone doing the same to you.

Using the bio page in an attack shows little imagination and a lack of intelligence on the order of small town Appalachia.
I met better people in Fort Sill/Lawton back in 1996.

As TOM DASCHLE I am deeply concerned with your remarks. I have tried to work with the White House but the President just keeps plodding foward no matter what we do to him...hehem I mean no matter what the country is going through President Bush seems to keep going with this 9-11 Patriot thing. I happen to look very good in a G-Suit you know. It troubles me that the military did not even invite me on a carrier. I think Rummy does not like me. This is just sad that the leader of the minority in the Senate cannot get a nice cam shot in a flight suit.

I pray that you are right and that the true strength of the American people rises to the top in the long fight that we have ahead.

I will pass the message along.

I am about 20 miles from Hilla, just outside a town called Ash Shawmali. Lance Cpl Guardino's words ring true. The people around here have a very good relationship with us. Ther is rarely a day that goes by that we aren't entertaining a guest or providing medical care. In fact, we are paying for the land that we are using. All of this has helped us in two ways: 1) The people love and trust us, and 2) the people protect us. There have been times when we were supposed to be attacked, but I firmly believe that the people surrounding us have had a hand in stoppin this from happening. We do have fun with the all of the people around here. They are a very animated and happy group. We cannot drive down the road without waving to someone! It is neat!
