"Not morally either. Just my opinion. He could have known absolutely nothing except to launder some money. Story goes he had a halawa money exchange operation"

The Federal penitentiaries are chock full of mafiosi who have done the same thing.

Regards,

If I ever thought that I aided someone blowing up hundreds of people even if it was helping launder money for them, I would slip my throat............and I am a real estate agent : ) We all have our limits of profit makin

Do you not find it strange that he frequently travelled to Saudi Arabia? A Jew in Saudi Arabia? Unless of course he was coordinating with those in Saudi Arabia who also support the terrorists.

What about Hong Kong? Sure it could have been innocent but Hong Kong is also a hot bed of intrigue between the Communist Chinese and the Indonesian Muslims. Remember Clinton, the Ryadis, and Communists Chinese contributions to Slick?

Consider all the facts.

But isn't your saying "he laundered the money and didn't know about the missiles" a bit like the Swiss bankers saying they "deposited the gold and didn't know (and felt no reason to ask) where it came from" (and then, of course, had no idea what happened to it).

"Do you not find it strange that he frequently travelled to Saudi Arabia?"

This whole story is bizarre. But it doesn't say he frequently went to Saudi Arabia, only that his business had "taken him" there, so, he could have been there only once. And non-Muslims can go there, they just can't practice their religions and can't enter Mecca, and maybe Medina too. The only legit reasons I can imagine a jeweler going to Hong Kong or SA is to sell jewelry to rich people.

I do find it odd that he'd participate in that subterranean Muslim money transfer system, but maybe all those diamond guys do. Well, you know, not every single one of them.

This story just shows how many people will do evil for a little bit of money. Sad.

Agreed, and they are found in all groups.

"Mr. Abraham was the money man, a shadowy figure who facilitated the work of terrorists by giving them the means to finance their actions"

If so, this elderly man is no better than the Rosenbergs and should be executed for treason. Being the "money man" for terrorists makes him a terrorist. Worst of all is that America has been the realization of Jewish hopes - it has allowed Jews a better life than any dreamed of in their entire history.

Here they found the Promised Land - and this crawling scum takes a commission on a money laundering scheme with terrorists? I certainly hope he is roundly rejected by the rest of my fellow Jews, as were the Rosenbergs before him.

Actions like these are why I have not darkened the door of a synagogue for decades. For some reason, all too many of my co-religionists have confused the call for social justice with socialism.

DooDahhh,

If someone betrays you, and in the process kills many, is not it incumbent on you to remain alive to support those who depend on you, and love you, AND TESTIFY? Perhaps kill the customer who used you to kill others, but to kill yourself is arguably a sin in and of its self,

Better yet, tell it to a jury and let them find him guilty. Then we can all feel that justice has been done, and those close to you would not have been added to the list of victims.

...The DA has been able to come up with ONLY this one pathetically measly charge that carries with a maximum five year penalty????

for money laundering, gubmint's gotta up the penalty ASAP to a mandatory 20 YEARS or so. 'nuff said.

" His rabbi showed up to offer moral support, and his brothers and sisters and children filled two aisles in the courtroom, as Mr. Abraham's lawyer, Larry Krantz, insisted this was a misunderstanding."

Yeah, that's the ticket! It was all just a misunderstanding. Move along. Nothing to see here.

While hundreds of people have died fighting terrorists here at home and abroad; please don't tell me they are going to sweep this one under the rug!
