Sickening. Let the 1-2% of the ENTIRE U.S. population support them as they offend the other 99-98% that are straight.

"An openly gay man even threw out the first pitch." Probably the first time he ever "pitched."

With a little more planning, I'm sure they could've coordinated this with "miniture baseball bat" night.
OK, maybe NOT a good idea....

Phillies host first gay night Which wasn't that different except: The pitcher was always working from behind
The catcher got hit by more balls than usual
And the pinetar was replaced with KY Jelly.

There are similar promotions in other big league ballparks in Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco and Florida. Oh, nooooo!! Say it ain't so. Not the Braves!

Gay night. Ok, cool. So when are the Phillies going to host hookers night?

Well, that'll work. Hookers, strippers, and lap dancers night.
To: Tacis
Well done...but seriously..I'd expect a lawsuit for making them all sit together..I mean, when a ballteam has a Jackie Robinson day..do they put all the black fans in the upper deck?

"They need the gay fan base, because all their straight fans wind up in the drunk tank/prison" You got the wrong team. That is for the eagles fans. That said, in my humble opinion, the Phillies management made the biggest mistake ever in this promotion. What the hey, when you have a losing team, I guess anything goes. I won't support them anymore. Blacked them out on T.V. last night and I won't watch again.

Why can't a gay person just go and watch a baseball game like everyone else....why does it have to be officially sanctioned and plastered across the jumbo-tran?
To: Manic_Episode
I think it was probably an underarmed pitch.LOL
