Good post. After almost 5 years, I didn't know you were a chaplain.

Yep, I mentioned it at different times through the years (especially on the religion forum), but there generally isn't reason to bring it up on the political forum unless, like with this article, there's a combination of the political and religious.
I spent my first 4 years enlisted, did college and seminary, and then my last 16.2 as a chaplain.
I was able to be in the best units in the Army, imho: 1st Armd Div, 101st Airborne, TF 160 (160th SOAR), 2nd Inf Div. I learned a lot being chaplain for different units: Armor, Infantry, Artillery, Spec Ops Aviation, Mech Inf, Air Defense, Combat Engineer, Mil Intel, Division Support Command. While we're in the process of supporting these units, we learn an awful lot about what they do and how they do it. I got to see all of the combat branches and most of the support and service support.
It's a great choice if anyone's interested.

Are you privy to the secret information upon which the government is basing its decisions? Do you have the facts already in hand? I doubt that you know what military intel is working on. but that doesnt seem to stop you from pontificating as if this were gospel.Yes! Yes! Yes! It's about time someone had the balls to say this!!!!

This LTC Chaplain is laying it on the line. The fascinating thing is that he is the same denomination as this heretic bishop he's laying out.
While the LTC is under a different bishop, the Chicago guy could reach and and cause trouble for him through the good-ole-boy network.
Chap Simpson's integrity is showing. Our denomination is blessed to have him, and probably unworthy at the same time.
