I have what may be the strangest cat ever. His name is Flopper Bumper Batmouth Babyboy Elliott Puka Pinky King, but he goes by Elliott. :o) He's probably a maine coon because he's BIG and although I haven't had him weighed lately, he's darned heavy. I found him "parked" in a parking spot at a strip mall a year and a half ago.

What's so weird about him? He eats ONLY Science Diet Light dry food. He will NOT eat fresh turkey, chicken, fresh fish, or canned cat food. He has on a rare occasion taken a bite or two of tuna. I could give him the entire can or probably leave a plate of fresh meat and he'd give it a sniff and walk away. DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE A CAT THAT BEHAVES LIKE THIS? He has several other quirks but since I didn't get him as a kitten--the vet said he was about 1 1/2 years old when I found him--I have no idea why in the world he has so many RULES!

Probably the easiest question I've ever answered . . . because he's a cat. Secondly, you did not "find" Elliot, he found you. He probably "cased" your life, determined that you were perfect for HIS ownership and when the time was right, he set up his con at the parking spot at the strip mall. Sorry, but that's how it is with these advanced creatures. The important thing now is just obey his every "whim" and in return he'll bring you pleasure and entertainment (if he feels like it). A "main coon" sounds interesting. We would enjoy some pics if you've got the equipment to post them.
