The Kennedys are Cafeteria Catholics.....they choose what they want to believe -- and only what coincides with their political ambitions Naaa ... Cafeteria Catholics at least have more respect for the church then the Kennedy's do

The Church never supported these unions...ever. So what changed?
Oh yes, they are a voting block now.
Imagine that in America we are now conducting politics based on adult sexual proclivities, couldn't anything be more Roman?
To: HowlinglyMind-BendingAbsurdity
Excellent take on some of the qualities of those catholic pols and very funny too.Thanks.

.....couldn't anything be more Roman? .... Next thing we'll have vomitoriums outside dining rooms as Gibbons wrote.
We already have chains of abortoriums for the sexual excesses.

Likewise, U.S. Sen. Lincoln Chafee, an Episcopalian, said he supports civil unions, but not marriage for gays and lesbians, saying the country is not ready to call it by that name. This guys a coward. Call it marriage Chafee, you believe it is.

Screw that line of thought. What's right it right. The RC church needs to start the process.

I believe the etymology (for Kennedy) is "deformed head." A Kennedy family portrait.

I don't have the Screwtape Letters handy to check the exact reference, but that reminds me of something like the Most Abysmal Undersecretary, Toadpipe.
To: HiTech RedNeck
Yeah, CS Lewis' Screwtape Letters is a good reference source for most anything about Dummycrats.

Catholic identity is important to him because it gets him votes from the Catholics that look at the name and not the candidate. He is a spoiled boy that never had to work.
He tends to be vulgar and seems to be quite troubled between the ears.

Next thing we'll have vomitoriums outside dining rooms as Gibbons wrote. We already have the eating disorders, this or today's version of this isn't too far away. In fact SOME people get stapled not because they have a genetic disorder but because they just can't control what they put in their mouth-which brings us right back here- haha.

Please do not try to unload this dispicable character on Baptists. We are always accused of being too right wing.(.anti gay..anti murder of the unborn..) Patches definately does not belong in a Baptist right wing catagory.

Huh? This is what I wrote in #38 (to which you replied):
"It appears that Kennedy is a Protestant. He favors his readings of scripture over the edicts of Rome. They really should excommunicate him. But then, Rome won't do anything to jeopardize the American money stream, a financial bulwark for Rome. Same thing probably applies to the Anglicans who, I suspect, rely upon Episcopalians for a lot of their money."
Perhaps you were replying to someone else. I didn't even mention Baptists.
