I don't think I slept much the night of 9/11. And I remember thinking, "What if Gore had won?" If I recall correctly from 9/11, there were reports that a number of Democrats were glad that Bush was President and not Gore

I disagree .. by understanding and knowing what happen 50 years ago, it explains what is going on with the Dems of today. It continues to prove the old stand-by, "those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

Good article. I think liberals have been on a subtle course of treason since the 60s.

Truman would be driven out of the Dem party today as would Kennedy. They were regarded by the leftists of the time, correctly, as cold warriors and ardent foes of communism.
There is a Cult of Coulter on this forum where people think that she is infallible. I get the feeling that if she were not so physically attractive, many of her supporters would be more questioning of what she says. She's right that McCarthy was unfairly denigrated but wrong about Truman and Kennedy. Incidentally I am a avid reader of her columns and agree with her more than ninety per cent of the time. But she can be wrong. Nobody is perfect.

But just because she is an attractive women, doesn't mean she is completely wrong.
Whether one likes her book or not .. she does get people talking, and others learn things they had not know before. Educating IMO is important in getting this country back on the right track
