You're gonna get a softtail!
They're low and wide and smooth, and with the 88B counter-balanced engine they're just right! But I think 2004 or maybe even 2003 is the last year for the Springer like Liddy has pictured above.
Good luck, enjoy the quest, and find the right one. :-)

Hey, wouldn't a Honda Homecoming take you to Japan?

Honda builds Gold Wings, Valkyries, VTX and Shadows with over a 1000cc engine in Ohio. They use over 90% US parts with US workers too. I think those bikes qualify as US made. ;-)

Yeah, I know all that stuff, heard it like, forever... Harley probably has more jap stuff than Honda nowadays, but doesn't a homecoming take you to the beginnings?
( I'm not trying to insult, but I am trying to humorously instigate-- ) <|:-)~~

I'll make it to Sturgis one day...and I'll ride all the way. What's the point if you don't? I don't get it. Exactly. That's like taking an airline into Appleton, WI, renting a plane, and then flying into Oshkosh!

Veddy interesting. Met a guy in Custer SD just last week who was riding a Vincent. Well actually he was working on it, because something was wrong. He was headed for the international vincent convention somewhere in BC, Canada. He owned 5 Vincents, but only had two with him, a 55 and 57 model.
