Were they able to hoodwink the US agencies by projecting themselves as continuing allies of the US in its campaign against Saddam Hussein in Iraq and Slobodan Milosevic in Bosnia?

Did the HUM's role, found useful by the US, in training the jihadi opponents of Milosevic in Bosnia and Kosovo and participating in their jihad make the US agencies close their eyes to its burrowing into US homeland in preparation for taking the jihad to the US homeland?

You see, Clinton needed Jihadis to defeat Milosevic and to bugger Russia and China with so his administration let in God knows how many of them into this country in the late 90s. In fact it is my understanding that is when and how the 9/11 terrorist cells were able to get inside the USA and I have been trumpeting this on here for as long as I was a Freeper. That is the real blanked out secret to how 9/11 was able to go down but it compromises lots of people so it can't be exposed outright. Go to Yonkers, New York. You will even see a memorial to Albanian Jihadists killed by the Serbs that was set up with the help of Clinton administration officials.

What did Clinton know and when did he know it?

One looks in vain for answers to them.

As much as I hate to say this, I wonder that it won't take another attack to wake us up to the differences between Dar al Hab and Dar al Islam.

Well, duh. The answer is LESS government. Too many nameless faceless gov't bureaucrats not looking out for the interests of the US, but their own agenda.

As long as we keep avoiding profiling we will never be able to assure the public(me included) that our planes are safe.

El Al profiles, has locked, impermeable cockpit doors, and has armed marshalls on every plane.El Al is safe.

My daughter had to go through intense scrutiny last week when flying home.It was randomly done(this was at Boston's Logan Airport)and she thought the whole thing was hysterical, they even did a thorough inspection of her sandals while she stood, barefoot,on a filthy floor.

There was a guy in line that was not pulled out that looked like someone from the Mid East and he was sent right through. Can't profile you see, let's check out the middle aged Irish looking woman and ignore the other guy.Madness.

This is all true. I am just amazed that

1. The leaders of the so-called Religion of Peace have not forefully condemned terrorism, but rather have added to the leftist babble that terrorism is the product of our racism.

2. Since 9/11 we have had a constant stream of pushing the Religion of Peace onot us and ours. Eg: forcing all entering freshmen in UNC to read a bowdlerized version of the Kuran that emphasized its "soft, mystical" side.

It is plain that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are "unindicted" members of the "axis of evil". If it is true that the Taliban is an ISI creation, it is also a Saudi one. Saudi money and Saudi agents are behind every Muslim insurgency in Asia, perhaps without exception.

And the nexus of all of the Asian Muslim insurgencies was Bin Ladin and the Afghan training camps. If all of these insurgencies were funded by the Saudis, inspired by Saudi missionaries, and trained by Bin Ladin and the ISI, then it is a reasonable conclusion that Bin Ladin was, in effect, a Saudi agent as well.

So the war on the "axis" must obviously include a response to the two unmentioned members of the axis. To some degree, that has already happened. US forces have attacked Saudi-backed Abu Sayaf in the Philippines, they have ejected the Taliban from Afghanistan and continue to kill them as they cross the border from Pakistan, they are engaged in training and assisting police and military forces all across Central Asia, and there has been a fundamental shift in our stance toward Russia and the Chechens, reversing Clinton-era sympathy for the Chechen rebellion.

In Pakistan, despite their previous alliance for the Taliban, Musharraf has given us fairly free reign as our agents enter the country to chase bandits. We have a powerful point of leverage; our relationship with India. India stays its hand toward Pakistan because the US asks her to. India is the hammer that we brandish whenever the Pakistanis get uppity; our influence in Delhi is what has allowed us to develop and exploit divisions within the Pakistani government.

But it is not enough to attack Saudi operations outside of Saudi Arabia. At some point logic requires that Riyadh itself have a day of reckoning. With the fall of Baghdad, the Saudis now stand exposed and alone, and that day of reckoning, I believe, is now. It will be done very smoothly, very much behind the scenes, because whatever dirt Saddam's files may have on US leaders will be nothing compared to what the Saudis will have in their files. But it is undeniable, I believe, that we have been engaged in attacks on Saudi operations since 9/11, a war that has been one of the most bizarre ever, in which we slaughter the low-level trigger-pullers while smiling and hugging the princes on camera who fund them.

Riyadh delenda est.

The Pakistani jihad factory is a direct consequence of Saudi Arabia, the host of Pakistani jihadi orgs would be all but impossible to sustain without the kind of concerted foreign backing that Pakistan has received from Saudi Arabia over the last thirty to forty years, though I suspect the spreading of Wahhabism there has been going on for much longer. One of the great ironies of the Islamist internationale is that many of principle sources of pseudo-nationalist cannon fodder (re: Kashmir) are themselves puppets of a nation that cares next to nothing about them or their fate.

What did Clinton know and when did he know it?

I have no doubt that Clinton was well compensated for his services. Saudi banking secrecy is hermetic, and they are generous with their friends. It is only too easy to be offered a partnership in a Saudi investment; your Saudi bank accounts can be held openly in your own name and they will be invisible to the IRS and any other US agency.

Your only problem, then, is how to repatriate your money after your years of public service are over. But its not impossible. You establish a think tank, or some other kind of trust, to launder the money back into daylight. Or you travel the third world giving thousand dollar a plate speeches, the origin of the funds being impossible to verify. Or you can accept a several million dollar a year partnership with your lawfirm, for which you perform no function. Or you accept a multi-million dollar advance for a book that you may not actually write; or you can hire someone to write it for you for $20,000 and pocket the difference; no one will investigate the original source of the advance money, and the publisher acting as the middle man can keep a healthy percentage for its trouble and maybe even claim it as a business loss if the book doesn't sell.

But since Clinton isn't the only American public servant with unexplainable wealth, you can bet that our smack-down of the Saudis will be done ever-so-smoothly. If we should ever be forced to actually send in the tanks, though, there will be a mad race to seize the bank records by any means necessary. We need to reform Arab politics, but we have no desire to jail half our government in the process. No one has any desire to see our octogenarian statesmen in Leavenworth.

You may find this thread interesting: Police arrest 19 in terror probe (CANADA!?!)

Most of those arrested were students or refugee claimants and all were born in Pakistan.
