Was talking with a friend about the fact that it is so refreshing to have a President that does what he says he will do, and began to toss around some of the things he has said and "how he says them." Post some of your favorites and see what we come up with.

"I am not going to trust the word of a tyrant when it comes to the security of the American people." GW

Thank you, GW.

I suppose the Libs are panicking because they sure are trying to turn up the heat on President Bush. Billy Boy is probably busting a gut by now because he will never be the man President Bush is and Hitlery won't either.

They must be really paranoid to have an entire political party try so hard to demonize President Bush. Look at all the time and energy they are spending just to try and justify their co-presidency.

Well, guess what, Clintons, it takes class and decency; something you will never have.

"America is a nation full of good fortune, with so much to be grateful for. But we are not spared from suffering. In every generation, the world has produced enemies of human freedom. They have attacked America, because we are freedom's home and defender. And the commitment of our fathers is now the calling of our time." George W. Bush Sept. 14th, 2001

I forget the exact words but his recent ones about Condi being a high quality person and America being very fortunate to have her services struck me as very accurate and obviously DEEPLY FELT by him.

I figure she earns that kind of support and loyalty.

"Out of a Bush came words of fire!"

Hey, can he direct some of those words of fire towards our borders and economy?

""I am not going to trust the word of a tyrant when it comes to the security of the...."

Why doesn't he extend the same common sense to our friends the Israelis?

They are supposed to trust the terrorist Palestinian leaders. So much so that Bush criticizes the fence they are building to protect themselves.

I liked one of his responses on Sept. 11, 2001 while being moved around on Air Force One. If my memory serves me he was on the phone with Vice President Cheney and said, "we will find who did this and kick their a$$!

And he and our great men and women of the military have been doing it ever since!

Just for the sake of accuracy, I was paraphrasing the President. I know, however that he made the point more than once, including in Cincinnati in 2002:

We could wait and hope that Saddam does not give weapons to terrorists, or develop a nuclear weapon to blackmail the world. But I'm convinced that is a hope against all evidence. As Americans, we want peace -- we work and sacrifice for peace. But there can be no peace if our security depends on the will and whims of a ruthless and aggressive dictator. I'm not willing to stake one American life on trusting Saddam Hussein.

During a Pentagon Press Conference at the height of the liberation of Iraq Sec. of Def. Rumsfeld sternly warned Syria and Iran not to assist Iraq.

Some of President Bush's aides frantically ran into the Oval Office and told the President that Rumsfeld just threatened Syria and Iran.

President Bush replied, "Good."

In the skies today we saw destruction and tragedy. Yet farther than we can see, there is comfort and hope. In the words of the prophet Isaiah, "Lift your eyes and look to the heavens. Who created all these? He who brings out the starry hosts one by one and calls them each by name. Because of His great power, and mighty strength, not one of them is missing."

The same Creator who names the stars also knows the names of the seven souls we mourn today. The crew of the shuttle Columbia did not return safely to Earth; yet we can pray that all are safely home.

"I spent an amazing couple of hours with Dennis Miller," Bush said during his Los Angeles speech after Miller's routine. "He keeps you on your toes."

He added: "I was also honored to meet his wife, Carolyn. Like me, he married above himself. It may not be all that hard, in his case. But I'm proud to have his help."
