[history]
July 31, 2003 -- WASHINGTON - Native New Yorker and Secretary of State Colin Powell spoke yesterday with his Bronx tongue, calling Saddam Hussein "a piece of trash waiting to be collected."
"Saddam Hussein is no longer bad news," Powell said. "He's a piece of trash waiting to be collected."

I thought "trash waiting to be collected" was eloquent.

The problem is, we don't view them as terrorist trash (ex. meeting with Abu Mazen last week).
I guess its because they are murdering Israelis and not Americans (most of the time).
Would you expect the US government to meet with an organization which has murdered over 1200 people in the last 10 years and continues to plan and incite for more murder?
Of course not. However, America somehow feels Israel can and is supporting giving these terrorist animals a state.

Nixon went to China and look up how many millions China killed and yes, they were involved in the Korean War and killed Americans.Sharon met with Abbas.I have faint hope. They were bombing Israelis before the roadmap.I believe if they are a country Israel can declare war and take care of the problem if it persists.America will not let Israel fail.I know it like I know the sun rises in the east.At least Saddam is too busy evading our troops to send money to suicide bombers' families.I don't know how to solve it.

I believe if they are a country Israel can declare war and take care of the problem if it persists.America will not let Israel fail.I know it like I know the sun rises in the east.At least Saddam is too busy evading our troops to send money to suicide bombers' families. History goes against that. America has never allowed Israel to finish the job in major wars. 1967 - Israel kept going into Arab countries like Syria, but America pressured ISrael to stop and sign an armistice. 1973 - Same deal, Once Israel was winning the war, US pressured Israel not to continue to Arab capitals of the agressor countries and pull back. 1982 - TERRORIST GROUPS OPERATING FROM LEBANON, WHICH IS A COUNTRY, Israel went in to crush the terrorists and got into the outskirs of Beirut, but since the start of the war to crush the PLO terrorist groups, the US opposed it and they HAD A COUNTRY TOO!
Think about it here, if the PLO has a state we would be agreeing that they have a right to a state, which they don't, as they already have one (Jordan). We would be saying terrorism worked. The moment they have a state they would be signing defense agreement with many terrorist friends. Do you know what state Bush is talking about? The whole West Bank, meaning communities which total 200,000 people would have to be taken down by Israel. What's more, why is it ok for the Arabs to call for a country to be free from Jews, and the US to accept it, while its not ok for those who say Arabs should be removed from all of Israel?
And on that Saddam stopping giving money to those terrorist homicide bombers, you are correct. Guess who is now in charge? Iran, which Israeli intelligence states gives $50,000 to each suicide bombers family.

What is your answer? All out war in the middle east? My answer is to destroy the terrorist enemy and not give them a state, just like we did to the Taliban in Afghanistan (which did not have a state, but 90% of it which was recognized by 3 countries only).

The danger of an all out war, as I already wrote, is if they DO have a state and Israel attacks it.

I fear there are plenty of "saddams" ready to pick up where/when he leaves off. The terror will continue in every country for eons.
