Your statement would be true only if all the rapes and murders and other crimes were all committed by devout Church members. Otherwise it is a logical fallacy.
Devout Christians and Jews committ proportionately fewer atrocious crimes than the general population, and Muslims, it would seem, have a disproportionate crime rate for their representation in the general population.
Nor do the crimes of Timothy McVeigh impugn the Christian community, since neither was a practicing Christian. Eric Rudolph self-identifies as a "Libertarian" so how do the Libertarians on the forum feel about that?
