The Foundation sought the information after a Sacramento Bee article in October detailed how more than $400 million in federal grants and other payments since 1998 may have been misused or used to advance the political agendas of environmental activists. Gee, what a suprise... follow the money, again.

Lamberth ordered the sanctions because he said the EPA had shown "contumacious conduct" - obstinate resistance to authority.Thank you Judge Lambert!!
After all these years I finally know what's wrong with me.
Now, when my friends say, "Whuts witch u upchuck," or, "Upchuck, why's u like dat?" I can hold my head high and proudly proclaim, "I's just a lonely victim of contumacious conduct."

Browner had testified she asked a technician to delete her computer files the same day Lamberth ordered them preserved. The former EPA administrator said she usually didn't use her computer for work or e-mail, hadn't been notified about the court order, and had just wanted to remove some computer games her son had installed on her work computer.
I believe the judge should also have ordered a good slapping for this outrageous, insulting load of Babs Streisand.

You were okay until you veered off with this statement:
"So those who are constantly bashing Bush on this forum (because he is having to do things that appeal to shallow, lazy mentalities in order to obtain their votes and thus keep the Republican party in power), are just as illogical and shallow in their thinking as the people who vote DemocRAT or third party."
I generally don't bash Bush, because much of the stuff he does I DO support him. But I will agree with much of what has been said when he's left the reservation, and I can't say I blame people for complaining. I'm weary of this lame argument that because the republicans are the only viable party for libertarians and conservatives to translate their agenda to reality, we should just roll over for its standardbearer's pandering to 'get elected,' even if we think it's NOT going to help him get elected, and we think it definitely hurts our cause.
Why do you think conservatives and libertarians bother supporting the Republicans in the first place? To get our names attached to the winner? If Republicans, including the President, don't do what their conservative and libertarian constituents and supporters want, we have every right to tell them so and complain about it. And we SHOULD, because only the vocal influence their legislators.

The corollary is that nations ultimately pay the price for the poor leadership that they tolerate. Iraq is a prime example of that.
Notice I said "tolerate", and not "elect".
