"Why dont you discuss all the bad things that were avoided by this president?". That list is simply too long.

Bravo!
I like both your terms.. They are perfect.
You are obviously a very astute fellow.
I wonder if Dubya isn't going to find himself on "Political Black Ice" with his base before long though.

There's another definition of
black ice that I find even
more appropriate. In cyberspace terms, it would actually be called Black I.C.E. (
Intrusion
Countermeasures
Electronics).
Black ICE is an active and destructive automated response to attempted hacking, not unlike what Sen. Hatch recently proposed for music downloaders. It doesn't bother you if you're not attempting to hack into the system it protects, but if you do gain its ire, you will find it not only acting to block your hack attempt, but to trace the origin of the attempt and do damage to the hacker's machine (and even the hacker himself).
All of which is quite apropos, given the self-mutilation of the Democrats due to their rampant attempts to smear this President. While there are reasons to criticize GWB, the Democrats are uniquely positioned to be unable to capitalize on those reasons - since in those categories (most especially fiscal responsibility) they are far far worse, and everyone knows it.

Good observation. Let's hope that a lot of Democrats skid on the Black Ice! At the same time, let's hope that the Republicans don't become more like the Democrats. In general, the Republicans are more conservative than Democrats. There are still some principled conservatives in Congress, and they are all Republican. We need more conservatives like Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX), who in my humble opinion is probably doing more to uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution than all the other Congressman put together. For example, he is the sponsor of H.R. 1146 - American Sovereignty Restoration Act, and he was one of only three congressman to vote against the USA Patriot Act (the other 432 congressman all voted for it, even though copies of the bill were not even available yet to read at the time of the vote. That's right -- they had no idea what they were voting for!) The USA Patriot Act infringes on our Fourth Amendment rights.
Also, I like your term, Broken Glass Republicans. Let's hope the liberal Democrats get the message - that their socialist ideology is bankrupt and their agenda are going nowhere.
