The point of apologizing might have been to get the dem candidates to leap out...... Remember that Tony Blair will be here this week and might just have some news to share about all of this. I have been scratching my head ever since Ari Fleischer sent the memo to the NYT's and the Wash Post saying they shouldn't have used that 16 word sentence

Am I reading it right that essentially the Iraqis tried to buy uranium from the French government? And the French government said no but also didn't inform the IAEA about the offer?

Yeh, but I wonder. Chirac freaked when we said we were going into Iraq to look for WMD. Hmmmm. Was he trying to hide something?

There needs to be a news conference by Bush Tenet and Powell and set the record straight and expose the RATS for what they are

They voted to approve the war months before the SOTU speach, didn't they?

You have become a joke!

Really?

We're now committed to spend years in Iraq at $5 billion per month while losing a couple soldiers every day. We dump on the Brits' intelligence which Bush misused in his State of the Union speech. We insult India's military until they won't come to Iraq and help us and, even worse, we are not bringing them into the alliance against North Korea and China. We're stabbing Israel in the back. We didn't deal with Syria. It doesn't appear that anyone wants to help us with Iran so they'll have nukes in two years. We're flushing $15 billion down the crapper in Africa. We're rejoining UNESCO. We're still involved in Kosovo. And Afghanistan is still simmering but has, under U.S. management, become the #1 heroin producer in the world for the first time ever.

The list goes on and on. Waging the war was done well enough but current administration performance sucks.

Just which part of this agenda is a big conservative foreign policy victory anyway? Is Ed McMahon going to show up at our doors with a check?

Giving the guy you voted for the benefit of the doubt is fine. But if Clinton had done these things, all the Bushbots would be talking armed insurrection.

Have you noticed the slowdowns in FR's fundraising? I think there's a reason. And I think Bush looks like a one-termer.

It appears to me that the Brits see nothing wrong with GWB did and see no kind of rift between us

No, of course not. Just like the French government and ours have publicly pledged their love for each other after the U.N. dustup. No, nothing wrong here...

We will not let the left wing maggots and the "Rockwell/Buchanan/Rainmondo/Paleo/Anarchists" as Jim labels be successful in their electronic lynching attempt of our president

"They that stumbled are girded with strength."
"There is no strength or power but in the good."
Don't worry. The only people who care about this issue are the press and left wing extremists. Others wanted Saddam out. This whole thing is boring to the general public.
People are concerned, though, about terrorism in Iraq.

Joe Wilson is a lying, anti-American, Bush-hating RAT bastard. When is that finally going to be exposed for all to see?

I do too, but there are two possibilities. One is that it's really just down, for whatever reason... Summer slowdown, Freeper dissatisfaction, who knows?

The other is to try and bait speculation like this, to set you up for a "gotcha."

Jury's still out, as far as I'm concerned. Will be watching with interest.

Bekieve me Doug, I have done my homework on Joseph Wilson and you are 100% correct, I want to know how an operative in the CIA (Joseph Wilson's Wife) can have her Husband go to Niger an investigate something as serious as illegal Uranium purchases when he has no experience in this area.

My post above is the real scandal, and I am sending this question to every news agency I can. I have read all of Joseph Wilson's public remarks for the past year and the guy is a Pro Suadi Hack, One of his speeches were titled "The Case Against Regime Change in Iraq"

It's seemed like it. It stalled at 34% for the better part of a day, since mid-day yesterday. It's up to 38% now.

Still, a week in and under 50% seems slow, but I haven't usually followed these things, so maybe a last minute rush is normal.

Off topic, but Michael Medved today had a sound bite of John Kerry saying that US intervention in Kosovo (which I favored, but for reasons not remotely related to the blow dried one's latest prevarications or terminal obtuseness) and Liberia (about which I don't know enough to opine) was justified because the US had cultural "ties" with the both Kosovo and Liberia, while with Iraq we did not, so it was not justified, more of less. Isn't that special?

I wonder what ties Kerry thinks we have with Kovoso? It's quite a stretch. He's probably just stumping around with these remarks to justify his past votes in the Senate. Campaign fodder/biography stuff.

Kerry's biggest problem is that he's too damned boring to be president. And I don't think he can connect emotionally with women via television the way Klinton did.

No.

I think there's a reason

Real people with real money take real vacations in the summer. The summer fund raisers are ALWAYS slow; you've been around here long enough to remember what REALLY long fund raisers were; unless, of course, you're one of the ones who believe that the fund raising is slow because TLBSHOW was banned.
