Don't forget about the backpack found with food and ammo about 3/4 mi. from his home. If he had it packed w/ food and ammo, then why did he see fit to leave it behind?

Because the murderous imbecile overloaded himself?

Is there any explanation for the spelling change?

If I understand your question correctly, the murderer posted here as Matsuidon. His victim was with the Massillon Ohio Police.

Have you considered that perhaps we have burdened the citizenry with a few too many laws ...

Don't solicit underaged girls for sex, don't shoot policemen ... how could Woodring possible have remembered all those rules?

That may very well be the case, but I still haven't had it sufficiently explained to me how the guy single-handedly beat back a dynamic entry, killed a cop, then fled the home that was engulfed in flames and surrounded by police. These stories have been more than a little bit lacking in facts. All we are getting is the official, non-descript gov't. line. I would like to know the details of what happened here.

Interesting comment Roscoe, perhaps you could get an adult to read my original post to you.
I was responding to a point brought up by another poster...
---
How can a decent cop operate in areas where the majority of the citizenry has either been locked up or is related to someone who has?
---
I think we have a very fundamental issue here.
What sort of society do we have when this statement can be made?
How did we get here?
How do we fix it.
When the majority of citizens are criminals, something is obviously wrong somewhere.
Wouldn't you agree?
As for the incident with Scott Woodring,I think there are a few inconsistencies that should be addressed.
I'll reserve judgment awaiting more information.

I try to avoid any association with the Portland PD. I've had to go down there twice on business and both times I pretty much observed that department acting as traffic control for one or another of the different anarchist groups that seem to florish there. Going to Portland is like visiting a Canadian City; everything looks kind of familiar but strangely foreign as well.

In Curly's particular circumstances a buttocks shot would be the same as a head shot on a normal person.

Yes, he did have a thing about them being in the same place, didn't he? :)

Yes he is, and he may well have deserved it, but I still think it's fair to question the circumstances of the raid, and how the cop was killed, and how the suspect escaped a surrounded, burning home. There are several things about this story that don't compute.

They computer very well unless you have a particular mindset.

With the inane assertion that the majority of citizens are criminals. No argument is too absurd for Woodring's follower's to try.

I don't have any particualr 'mindset'. I just find it odd that this guy escaped a house that was surrounded by police, and in the process of burning to the ground. I'm looking at it from more of a perspective of police incompetency than this Woodring guy being set up in some grand conspiracy. Anyone can feel free to explain to me how Woodring shot a cop inside the house after a standoff, then left the house with obviously a large LE presence, and then dropped of a backpack full of ammo and food 3/4 of a mile from the stand-off, then later secured a vehicle and a gun (or maybe he had the gun with him while making his miraculous escape) that he aimed at police who somehow managed to kill him before he was able to get a round off from the 'assault rifle' he was already aiming at them. Poor reporting? Maybe. But one things for sure, all the reports of this case have been notoriously short of details.

You don't have questions, you're simply parroting the laundry list of the same old crap from the same old cranks in an effort to try and somehow shift blame onto the police. It's such an old trick around here.

Yes, I do have questions. I haven't tried to shift the blame anywhere. I want to know how the guy shot a cop and then got out of that house. If that makes me a cop-hater, then so be it. Like I said, if anyone can answer those questions for me, I'll gladly be satisfied and drop the matter. Did he slip out un-noticed, did he have a secret tunnel, were the cops to dazed and confused by the death of their comrade that he was able to get away? There may very well be legitamate answers to these questions, and as a matter of fact I assume that there are, but the shortage of details in media reports starts to make one wonder after a while.

Asserting that the majority of citizens are criminals, is indeed absurd. Asserting that the majority of police are criminals is far more plausable.
