More gun control is needed.Exactly. Gun control = hitting what you aim at.

The two then forced him to drive them to his home to get some money, and when they went inside, the resident pulled a gun and shot both of them. Excellent. Crime doesn't always pay. It's RISKY.
Every violent criminal should FEAR this result.
It's the most potent deterrant there is; once someone has decided to engage in this lifestyle, they should expect this fate, sooner or later.

I suppose this move could get you dead in certain situations. But in those situations, you'd probably get dead anyway, so why give 'em your money too?

nice shooting, although after the atm kept the card and the cameras noticed the poor guy being escorted by th ugs, one would think security personnel would contact some authority... ROTFLMAO, those cameras go to recordings, they're not monitored, by humans, at least not continuously. Then after the thugs kill somebody, or merely attempt to haul off the ATM machine, the police can view the recordings in an attempt to find the perp.

But it is done without giving out the homeowner's name, thus, under the presumption of innocence, protecting his reputation. You don't think his neighors, friends and even some co-workers, know his address? Besides there are directories that allow you to look up the residents of an address. In many places the media only give the general vicinity, such as "the 4300 block of Badass Drive", not "4315 Badass Drive". I imagine the neighbors already know, from the yellow tape, which house was involved. :)

yes i know the cameras are not monitored continuously, however, the card was kept for an infraction and a duplicate card was used at another atm and also kept there, but shouldn't an alarm somewhere be sounded or is this such an occassional occurrence that there are too many violations to check out?
i do not use atms as i am too cheap to pay .50 every transaction....
enlighten me please...

Yes, of course. But it limits the knowledge to those who pretty much already know and who have a compelling interest to know, and to those who really are driven to find out.
