Sulayman Faris, AKA Sulayman Al-Lindh (Johnny Walker Lindh to his defense attorneys and the leftist media) was and is a traitor who deserves much worse than a few blows from a fellow inmate.
He remained, under arms, in Afghanistan after his co-jihadists carried out 9-11. He was there in the military service of a regime at war with the USA, because that regime was sheltering the perpetrators of 9-11.
Had I found Sulayman, I would have just shrugged and told the nearest Northern Alliance guy that Sulayman appeared to be yet another Pakistani or Saudi, and let them dispatch him however they saw fit.

"Morrison had the guts to do what our "system" does not have the guts to do. Give Morrison a few months off, I say."
I agree, they could say 6 months off his sentence for good and commendable behavior!!

He remained, under arms, in Afghanistan after his co-jihadists carried out 9-11. Do you think he really knew that? I mean come on. He was THERE, do you really think he was THERE to do the US harm. I dont think so.
He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Do you really think that he wanted to kill Americans? I just dont buy it. I was studying Afghanistan and the taliban long before 9/11. The majorities of the people are just scrapping by and love their religion. That doesnt make them dispatchable.

Adam:
You were talking in a previous post about him having "company".
I have some (barf bag) information.
I just want you to know, his father is gay and left his mother for another guy (a gay bathhouse owner). (Barf
Sulayman (aka Walker) is gay as it is. He was having an affair with a married guy in Afghanistan. (Barf alert)
None of this excuses Walker, except I think that his father should be in prison as well. He brought him up and left him at a crucial time in his life.
The person who assaulted Sulayman in prison might be a black guy or a white guy. I'm pretty sure the Black Muslims he's hanging out with in prison, plenty of them would have issues with a gay white muslim.
To: I_Love_My_Husband
Yeah, I was aware of that (about his father). I heard about the guy with Taliban Johnny at the time, but had forgotten long ago. It seems like such a long time ago.
To: adamyoshida
It does. A lot has happened since then.
IMHO Walker should have gotten the death penalty for being a traitor. I still feel that way.
However, it was probably politically in the best interest that he's cooling his heels where he is and his faggy dad and soccer mom mother aren't playing the liberal media. Because they would have.
And dad had enough money to do this.
To: I_Love_My_Husband
Yes, and I am a proud conservative poster. So tell me what law did Taliban Johnny break?

"I would bet there are thousands of American men who'd do six months for the opportunity to beat the snot out of this traitor"
And just how do we know that Lindh was beaten(?) because of his illegal acts. Hell, he might have just refused to play pack the poo-poo with the guy!.

Give this guy a medal- not a jail sentence Bullcrap. He committed assault and battery. He should get a jail sentence commensurate with A&B.
Lindh is an evil traitor. For this he was sentenced to incarceration, and rightly so. He was not sentenced to regular beatings. We don't do that, here, and we shouldn't let violent thugs do it either. We, unlike Lindh's mohammedan buddies, aren't barbarians.

Sulayman Faris wrote his father after the USS Cole bombing to say that attack was a good thing because the American crew was had no business visiting a muslim country.
News of American deaths reached him. He appears to have celebrated such news.
One mistake on my part: When I said "dispatched", I meant to say "tossed by the N.A. into a sealed cargo truck with other Talibaners and suffocated to death".

I really feel that this was all argued a couple of years ago. Were you in on those threads? I don't recall seeing you then.
MOST conservatives wanted this guy hung.
I really don't even understand your argument here. Are you a libertarian?
To: ArrogantBustard
Just because your government throws you in jail doesnt mean that anybody can just torture you and thats OK. This is nuts and very scary. I love the people on this web site. They have gotten me through a lot of bad stuff. They have restored my life and sanity in many ways. But the unwarranted hate is very disturbing. I know people in jail for just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I also know people in jail because 2 computer systems linked up and they found some parole violations from 10, 15, 20 years ago. Should these people be beaten and raped?
I should know, I write computer systems for the courts. If you only knew what I know now, you would be very freaked out.

These stories crack me up.
These same people "feed" on decent citizens, but if someone harms Americans or is perceived to have done such is subject to a shanking. LOL.
Honor among thieves I suppose.
