Look at MineralMan's own Freeper profile. He says he won't show his face. Why? Because he can't trust people like me. Me: no membership in any group more right wing than the Republican Party; one old revolver for last-ditch home defense; drives nice foreign cars with no bumper stickers; white European immigrant Protestant, not church-going, not evangelical; etc. Me, the face of utter normality he cannot trust.

And yet he spends time here propagandizing people to accept gun laws that will ennervate the very intention of the IInd - which is to keep jackboot lickers like MineralMan looking over their shoulder. Perhaps he should just log off, if coming here makes him concerned about his safety.

Or maybe he should just step out of the shadows. After all, I can't really exist. I must live in a single-wide in a dusty ravine somewhere in Idaho and wear t-shirts with slogans. He'd see me a mile away. That fence around the IRS? That's to keep their fans from getting too friendly. They tire of signing autographs.

But what really unnerves him is to think that out there are people like me that might be asked to interview his kid for admission to a highly selective college. "Oh, the JBT's boy, yeah, he'd make a fine electronics tech major at Second Tier State. Not well read, but a nice boy, yes." That's because the best way to stick it to the JBTs is silently, and successfully, and repeatedly - not some silly blaze of glory.

I know you already issued the correction, but the right to keep and bear prosthetic limbs is, to those that need them, just as precious. Even if they are black plastic "assault limbs" with bipods and flash supressors and etc.

"One more question please. Will YOU personally kill a man, if given the order, who will not surrender his firarm?
"

I am not under anyone's orders in that regard. I don't work for any law enforcement agency, and am no longer in the military.

However, while in the military, I would certainly have obeyed that order in wartime. If I had not, I would have been guilty of a crime. Killing the enemy is the function of the military in wartime.

But, today, here in the USA, I will not find myself in that situation. You might ask someone who is in the law enforcement field. That's not me.

Eno,

Actually, I reveal more information about myself on my page than you do. I will not provide personal information on Free Republic. But, I see that you do not do so, either. Why not?

For example, I tell everyone that I served in the USAF in the late 60s. Did you serve in the military?

Don't start accusing others of what you do yourself. You want me to tell you who I am and where I live? Well, I'm not going to do that, and it's clear that you are not going to do that either.

"Sandra DAY O'Connor"

LOL, why the emphasis on DAY? For me, I put it there because I am a born O'Connor, as I just now posted to an unrelated thread, but why do you?

This is a funny co-incidence, I am most amused!

Kwitcherbitchen, eno_.

Sandy O'Connor and her chums guaranteed you the unrestricted right to pork your boyfriend in the privacy of your dugout or cave. Eventually, she's likely to guarantee you the right to smoke dope until your lungs turn green and fall out of your chest like old boogers.

But I'm afraid she and Ruthie will probably want to take away your "icky" firearms. Can't trust you with them, you see. Guns rub Sandy and Ruthie the wrong way as they do almost all "progressive" liberals. They'll find a way to use their power as unelected superlegislators to impose their peronal likes and dislikes on you and all other Americans.

You should try to make the most of the bad situation. This activist SCOTUS will allow you you all the sick addictive indulgences you desire. Those things enslave you, keep you preoccupied trying to score your next dimebag of dope and ten-minute sexual encounter. Liberals like it like that. You're easier to control, easier to make dependant on nanny government.

But they don't like guns, no sir. Slaves should not have guns. It's much, much too dangerous.

"You're easier to control, easier to make dependant on nanny government."

That's hysterical!

You support the government's nanny approach to sex and substance control, and don't even see it for what it is!

but that was before Nicolae Ceausescu was executed live on Romanian television - before Corey Aquino took power in the Phillipines - and before the fall of the Iron Curtain.

How many tens of millions were allowed to die before those thugs were finally deposed by "peaceful" means?

I'm going to surprise all of you here. The Court tacked "liberal" last week. I strongly believe that the Court will now tack towards the right and reject the Ninth Circus' ruling in favor of the Fifth Circuit's interpretation of the Second Amendment. The Ninth's decision was too sweeping, too Clown Car. Fifth Circuit's Emerson decision, otoh, was based on a serious study of the Second Amendment's history.

The Ninth, and its liberal judges, have a piss poor reputation as the most overturned circuit in the History of Man. The Court will strike down the Ninth and tack right after having tacked left.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Wow, sorry to get you so upset. You really should take it easy. Try the decaf.

A temper such as yours, the lack of taking responsibility for ones actions such as you demonstrate, the inability to reason or logically argue, calling for the killing of those who do not agree with you and flights of mental fancy are not good when combined with firearms.

PS: Most of us stopped calling each other names like "Jack Boot Licker" about 3d grade, but if you insist, I am much more likely to respond to what I am usually called: i.e. "Far Right-Winger", "Staunch Conservative," "Gun Owner," "NRA Life Member," or the one I am most offen called by the wife... and enjoy the most.... "Stud Muffin".

"When all else fails" = Hitler is in charge. Guns are banned. Free speech is outlawed. Our elections resemble those in the Soviet Union or Zombabwe.

THAT is "when all else fails." THAT is what we are talking about.

Don't know if you heard, or read the papers much, but Herr Hitler passed away a few years ago. Comic books didn't cover it, did they?

Don't think Hitler will be "in charge" of anything in the near future... unless, of course, no one told you the book "Boys From Brazil" was really fiction.....

PS: When defending 2d Ammendment rights, might suggest you check who is living and who is dead. Makes you look really foolish on national television when someone on the other side contradicts you on something like Hitler's death.

It was in all the papers, you know....

Thought SCOTUS would pass on this case, but if their are serious divergances of opinion on the same underlying CIRCUMSTANCES (not just law, but circumstances) by two Circuits and a constitutional question is involved, you may be right and SCOTUS may get involved.

Problem is, will CA argue for 10th Ammendment rights?

The problem often is when a neighbor reports someone for having "too many" guns, etc. Then, if search or seizure warrent is issued, cops go to execute it. If person inside won't come out, they usually wait him out. However sometimes alcohol gets involved and he decides to point firearm at cops. Then who is in self defense mode?

Warrents are not requests. They are court orders. Gets real sloppy real fast.

The 2nd Amendment is one, just one, of the amendments to our Constitution. It is not, and never has been, the whole document.

When the Second goes you will eventually kiss the others goodbye, to believe otherwise indicates a profound ill placed faith in the goodness of government.

" Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters." -- Daniel Webster (1782-1852), American politician, US representative, senator

Come visit me my friend and I'll prove it to you.

I will introduce you to my "cold-dead-hands-water-the-Tree-of-Liberty-ten-million-deer-rifles" associates and we will show you our accomplishments.

We have succesfully introduced and had passed CCW legislation, we have sued local governments and overturned their anti-gun regulations, we have defeated anti-gun republicans in our local primaries, we have successfully backed pro-gun State Representative candidates, we have a very effective e-mail alert system to rally our troops, we show up in force at local council meetings and have beeen very successful in convincing them to reverse their anti-gun ordinances, we have many letters and opinions published in the newspapers, our membership ranges from the honest hard working laborer deer hunter to well educated professionals and everything in between.

Our no compromise plain truth attitude together with our accomplishments have won us respect in the halls of government. We are getting results.

You, on the other hand appear to be in a depressed pessimistic sort of mode.

What have you done for the cause lately?
