LOL--there is a Mecklenburg Co. in Virginia too. I happened to recognize Iredell Co. since I grew up in N.C.

How many people speed and get away with it?
Should we eliminate laws against speeding?>>>>>>>

I'm only pointing out that our "long & costly" WOD continues to fail. Now taxpayers are expected to foot the bills for a "long & costly" WOT, while our gov't continues with it's same *open border* policies.

The car, carrying three Mexican nationals,

Again, it does not say these "Mexican nationals" were in the country illegaly. They may have been breaking laws but if they were not, would they have been in the country illegaly?

So the other 27 loads, at about $5 million a load, got through. Now there's a record to be proud of.
1,400 lbs gets through and 52 lbs is confiscated - from just ONE runner.>>>>>>>>

Yes, if our new *border security* worked ANY better than the old border security, these drug smugglers would have been stopped AT THE BORDER.

Sheesh....when they finally got stopped they had 52 lbs....who knows how much they crossed with?? Might have already delivered most of this load.

it's kind of weird that your tagline reflects the very problem with our Federal govt's War on Drugs:

(If You're Not A Part Of The Solution, There's Good Money To Be Made In Prolonging The Problem.)

STATESVILLE (AP) --

I guess now they'll be getting their drugs from the pharmacy up at Statesville Prison -- along with Sally Decker, Dutch Gunderson, Montague Martin, Lana Casales, Veronica Rivers and the Burtons' butler, Thames.

How many people speed and get away with it?
Should we eliminate laws against speeding?

How many people drive drunk and get away with it?
Should we eliminate laws against drunk driving?

If laws against speeding and drunk driving had as many negative effects, and were as unrelated to protecting individual liberties, as are laws against drugs, the answer would be yes.

Beltran's car had crossed the border 28 times, most recently at the Nogales crossing two days before the deputies' stop, Tulbert said

Great intell, great use of records. DEA and INS geniuses can tell you how many times. But USE the data for any meanigfuL purpose (LIKE HERE'S A LEADING CANDIDATE TO BE IMPORTING SOMETHING ILLEGAL?)

Then again, I'm sure this was dismissed @ INS as bordering on racial profile-ing. And beside Gov't employees are there to live off the public, not provide value.

So, between the two of us, we've identified three Mecklenburg counties. Mecklenburg County, Kentucky is famous for the Mecklenburg sound or style of music. It's also the home of the Everly Brothers. That's all I know and it's not much and may even be slightly inaccurate. So, take it for whatever it's worth.
