However, we are not your parents, and were you 8 or 48 if you said something stupid, we would have considered it not so much your fault as one of public education.

Truthfully, some adults never mature past the age of 10. Their attitudes, actions, and thought processes are distinctly identifiable. Watch out for them...they are the people who will be upset about being "fooled" by your age.

You're on the internet. It's a fantastic equalizer. Were you not young, but "Black", or Jewish, Asian, or the product of two cousins in the Ozaarks, your words and thoughts will not reveal it...but instead cut to the real you. The person residing within your current shell of flesh and bone.

I don't think the reward for lying ought to be complete trust. Catch me in a lie, or if I confess one, I think you are entitled to question my integrity.

I generally try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Obviously you resent my doubts about the motivations/and or proper supervision of 4my. They were, however, earned.

I never said I was male, that was assumed. I lied about my age, but I never said anything about gender; if I did, I don't remember it.

So unless you're a 13-year-old hardcore conservative *lesbian*, you did indicate that you were male. But I can see where, once you were already a long time into the deception, you'd get in a habit of adapting your statements to mesh with other people's conceptions concerning your gender, even if you never stated it to begin with.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm a phony, myself. I have always told women anything they want to hear in order to get over on them. I've been doing it for longer than you have been alive!
