LOL! We need to add Old Brown Eye in the FReeper Lexicon with Hillary's picture. And maybe one other picture.

Speaking of the long list of Democrats, where is Jimmy Carter? Not long ago he was everywhere. I questioned his mental status when he was out and about. Now I notice he is no longer in the limelight. I wonder if they finally tested him for dementia?

Ann's book deals well with Jimmy and how he mucked up the North Korea problem. No American is more responsible for leting N. Korea get a nuke, except possible Clinton. Ann nails them all. Get the book, everyone.

My 90 yr old mom has been saying the same thing ever since she moved in with me in Nov. She has been a life-long dem, but she cannot stand the current leadership. She even yells at the TV when the dems begin saying Bush is lying. She is planning to reregister as a Republican, and plans to vote for Bush. God bless your mom. Please tell her I wish her well.

When are these idiots going to learn? Their business IS TO SELL BOOKS!" Who cares who's books get sold. Mercy! What a bunch of wackos.

I bought mine on Audible.com. They provide a free MP3 player with your subscription...I have contracted to download 12 books in two years, at 10 dollars per book, regardless of list. (Tell 'em gorush sent you...I'd get a free book if you end up signing up)
Treason is an abridged volume, read by Ann herself, that takes 6 hrs and some odd minutes to listen to. She also read Slander..and it was also abridged. These are the only abridged volumes I have purchased from Audible.com...check it out.

well I'm certain the collars and cuffs don't match ... but I don't want verification I thought Old Brown Eye fitting because of the contacts the Hilldabeast wore for the book jacket and that 'brown eye' is a euphanism for A_ _ Hole LOL!

Later, I saw problems in the Democratic party even before Clinton. However, it never ocurred to me that Roosevelt and Truman both had communist spies working in their Cabinet, at state, and other places. Be sure to find a copy of the book Witness, by Whittaker Chambers, if you haven't found that one yet. Aside from being one of the best-written books I've read (the short chapter on a Christmas when his children were young is just beautiful)--you'll learn about that era of Alger Hiss. Very interesting indeed.
We had communist spies in the highest areas of the Roosevelt govt. and Roosevelt was apparently unconcerned when he was told about it, from what I've read somewhere else recently.

Maybe so, but today's Democrats would still view that as a bad thing. Their problem with him exposing communists is that it is them. They don't like the word being used to describe their phlosophy, they say it's "name calling". But that is what they are.

Bought my copy yesterday at Barnes & Noble. It was hidden on a small table way back in the stacks with other books piled in front of it, had to ask a clerk to find it for me. The other new releases are displayed at the front door, in fact Hitlerys is the closet to the door.

You should read, Roosevelt's Secret War. It's a good read and adds an interesting perspective to what Roosevelt was all about (power).

... Hillary's book was, it never caught my eye. I have the same experiences. I was in a B&N a couple of weeks ago. I was in line before I realized what was missing - my
noticing of Hillary. I looked over to the main aisle and saw the display. Didn't notice it on the way in. In fact, they
didn't even have it displayed at the register area that I could see.
To: fella
I guess I'm lucky that my local B&N doesn't deliberately pull stuff like that. Manager must want to serve customers with the least amount of hassle.
Not that they don't mix up the display of authors merchandising-wise, but the current events/politics may have
2 shelves to 3 for conservative v. liberal latest releases.
They even had O'Reilly's softcover in the main aisle a while back.
No help needed for that sort of stuff. However, they did bury a release on human remains decomposition up in the
sociology section, not in the real science or crime area.
And they couldn't find that book on The Kenewec(sp?) Man saga that I wanted, although it was listed in stock.

You are being too hard on yourself. This forum is full of recovering Democrats. If people as brilliant as Whittaker Chambers and David Horowitz and Malcolm Muggeridge could go well into adult life before the scales fell from their eyes, then you are in good company. Geez, Ronald Reagan was a Democrat until he was in his forties.
Obviously your instincts were right all along, you were just channeling them into the wrong venue. My wife also had been a lifelong Dem -- never really heard the other side of things except as charicature -- but slowly over the years, without me really making any conscious effort other than naturally having the right books around or honing in on certain speakers, she began to add things up and now, like you, doesn't see how she ever thought otherwise. I think people like you are an inspiration and seeing enough examples of this has moved my own view from one of despair to one of optimism for our society. The momentum is in our direction, in spite of the inevitable step backward now and then.

Carter was/is as bad as any of them, even Clinton. He wasn't as smart as Clinton and his luck wasn't as good. While he wasn't dishonest like Slick, that isn't really saying much other than he actually does believe this leftwing BS so he didn't have to lie about it. No one who ever lived through his Presidency will ever buy into the Left's efforts to rehabilitate him. I remember when he ran for re-election in 1980, Dave Barry said the only reason he could come up with to vote for him was that if he won, he would never be eligible to run again.

"doubt Ann will change many people's preceived opinion of him"
I don't agree - I think this book is going to push a lot of people over into the conservative camp. Why ...?? Because a lot of dems have been totally fed up with the x42 goons.
Remember ... some dems have been dems since birth - not understanding why. This book could unstick them from years of being a conservative dem.

I have always thought the beginning of the real slide into the sewer was the JFK death. I think the dems knew who did it - but because it involved dems (in some capacity), they wouldn't reveal the information.
