I am speechless. I will watch this film, and honor Mr. Gibson for making it. The screenshot, and the controversy about the film, reminds me of the book "The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Boom.

There is a point in that book where she is upset about the nakedness forced upon her and her fellow prisoners at Ravensbruck concentration camp. She reads about the Crucifixion, and is struck by the line, "and He hung naked on the cross."

She had always seen a modest strip, at least, of cloth on every crucifix or portrayal of the death of Christ. But the truth was far harsher, and far crueler. And knowing that Christ was naked in his death, made her own nakedness a simple thing to bear in that place of horror.

I salute Mel Gibson for his work.

Oh man, we have to wait that long?

I'm not much for end times stuff but, I was thinking. Isn't The End supposed to come after the gospel has been preached to all the nations? This movie is going to give just about everyone a ring side seat at Calvary...

without reading any other reviews (and this one didn't answer this question), I wonder if the film will attempt to address the period of Jesus' life that was largely unacounted for in the Gospels - the late teen years up to the early 30s.

Hopefully, there will be no computer graphic effects in this film!
